Chester Green Fish Bar in Derby

Order missing peas and sausage. Chips were soggy and tasted hours old. Fish was slimy and tasteless and the batter was very hard. First time ordering from here (used just eat) sorry but I won't be back

9.45pm on a Saturday night and they've stopped serving chips! Are they a chip shop or just playing at it? Big disappointment.2 years later and things have got worse! Door says open to 9.30pm Mon-Sat. At 9.30pm on a Friday we find the place in darkness with doors locked, clearly closed long before 9.30pm. Perhaps the owner should consider retirement and handing the business over to someone prepared to work evenings? Otherwise known as a local chippy.

The chips here are amazing. The crunch, fluffy centre to soggy chip ratio is on the money. They should enter a chip shop competition! 🙂

Highly recommended, good portions and especially great fish. The staff are friendly.

Food was nice and cooked well. Quite tasty and enjoyable. They should include a sauce with the kebab meals, so that you get a kebab, chips and a free sauce on top. Kebab and chips was good, but tasted dry. Every other takeaway has a free chilli or garlic sauce option with the kebab. The place is in an odd location too, as the building next door needs knocking down and not refurbishing, plus the car park is a mess.

Nice fresh tasting food. Polite, friendly delivery driver. The only issues were the garlic & cheese naan bread was distinctly cheese free & the pizza was missing chicken. So what you order may be fresh & tasty, but might be lacking some ingredients.

2nd visit and it was horrible. Undercooked batter on the cod & potato fritter and the chips were blond and undercooked. The cod itself was very nice but the rest ended up in the trash. This place seriously needs to learn how to use a deep fryer. Won’t be trying it a third time.

Simply a great chippy, 5 star hygiene and friendly staff. Enough said... 😀

I ordered two Large Fish one large chips one curry sauces and peas i was surprised have small the large fish are and the chips for large are also a rip off i would say if you like getting ripped off then this is the place as i will not be going again
