Golden Pheasant Pub in Derby

Wow! I had the sticky beef starter which was beautiful, and for the main I ordered ham egg and chips which I thought couldn’t top the starter but that juicy mouthwatering perfect slab of ham said otherwise with perfectly prepared eggs. Then to top it off the honeycomb sundae which although I was full from the generous portion sizes still got demolished. This was topped by amazing customer service and a more than reasonable price. I will be going again very soon.

Slight delay between ordering and receiving food, but when it did come it was delightful and the bar and garden are very nice so the wait was no problem. Staff incredibly nice and solicitous.

A disappointing experience for a family birthday meal. Service was appalling, over an hour waiting for food from being seated. No fries arrived with meals despite asking twice for them. When they did arrive, the burger had been eaten, which considering how long they took to arrive the burger would have been cold. The made potato with spring onion and cheese came in a hot skillet but the actual potato was hardly warm. We waited over 15mins for pudding orders to be taken but then gave up.It's also worth noting that the set menu is more expensive than ordering the items individually.The food we did get was nice but the service spoiled it all and we won't be returning which is a shame as we are local and the chef is clearly talented.I wouldn't recommend.

Really amazing food and service. Had the beef roast dinner was amazing! They ask whether you want the beef pink or not which i always think is good. Warning when they say pink it is VERY pink which was fine for me but I know some people might be a bit out off by that.

First time going had heard lots of nice things about the place. Was not disappointed. Great food and lovely staff and nice place ,ni will definitely go there again.

We have had a couple of meals here and they food is always well presented and tasty. The drinks, of which there are many to choose from are also very good too and there is a nice atmosphere in the place, music just right and type of music is excellent too.

Lovely atmosphere (until the quiz started - every Wednesday), it felt very cosy despite being very spacious. The food was beautifully tasty and the staff were notably friendly and appropriately attentive.

Generally very good service 👍 the only thing was the lamb chop wasn't cooked very good and unbeknowing to them it wasn't a very good piece saying that they did offer to change it but you never like eating on your own when everyone has finished. They did give us all a free dessert which was very nice. The salad with the portion could have been better but overall not to bad an experience.

What a lovely place super friendly staff, great food and reasonable prices what more can you ask for, just had my grandads 80th here and they are great 👍

Truly delicious food and drinks . All locally sourced ingredients, beautiful interiors and friendly staff. If you want to enjoy a family night out or enjoy time with your girls, this is the place to be. You will not be disappointed
