Happy Choice in Derby

Most chineese take outs closed on wednesdays but happy choice were open. Nice meal.

Really unhappy with the service. I ordered chicken balls and chips. Every chinese ive been to they come separately. I got 1 tub with 4 chicken balls and chips covered in the sweet and sour sauce. My children wont touch it and i cant get a refund or a fresh portion.Absolutely disgusted with the customer service.

Good food, lot less MSG in use compared to other places. Always busy so be prepared to wait for delivery or pick it up yourself to save time.I moved 5+ miles further away 2 years ago and still return to Happy Choice.

Very poor service and an 'if you can't wait then cancel' attitude. Ordered through just eat waited two hours on ringing they just said 'very busy if you don't like then cancel'.Attitude like that means they do not deserve custom. Plenty of other takeaways. Go elsewhere to a place that cares. Pathetic.

Possibly the worst Chinese food I’ve ever smelt let alone tasted .. soggy onion rings , dried out bean curd , every piece of food ordered tasted of grease.. total waste of food and money …one mouth full and straight in the bin

Ordered from Happy Choice for years and always loved the food. They unfortunately delivered the incorrect food on the 20/06/2020 at 20:15. Called to explain but the lady on the phone said they were busy and couldn’t do anything to rectify the issue. Extremely argumentative, no attempt to resolve the issue. The prawns have been swapped out for some frozen cheap alternative at about one tenth of the size. The lady on the phone said they may be overcooked and have shrunk. I have spent around £400 over the last 12 months with happy choice and they were not prepared to do anything to resolve. I will never place an order with these people again, by their own admission they were busy and quite clearly don’t care if they get it wrong once they have the money

My partner and I ordered from here recently and we were both very impressed by the quality of the food. It's the only place I know of in Derby which has seitan ('vegetarian duck') on the menu so I ordered the Vegetarian Duck with Green Peppers and Black Bean Sauce, and it was absolutely fantastic! The sauce had a depth of flavour without being watery, and the vegetables were crunchy, plentiful and flavoursome. I'm not vegetarian but I love vegetarian food, so this hit the spot for me.I chose the Singapore Chow Mein as an accompaniment and that was pleasantly spicy without assaulting ones taste-buds. Everything was delicious with excellent options for both vegetarians and meat eaters, delivery was prompt, and the menu was reasonably priced while offering much better food than a lot of other Chinese takeaways in Derby.Order from here!

Pre ordered with this place. I am recovering from the virus and my husband is recovering from Brain Cancer and is shielding. Had an email saying our order has been cancelled.When I called the place I was told that he had not done something correctly had lost my order! Wouldn't take an order over the phone! Absolutely disgusted at their lack of concern or lack of help. I AM NEVER USING THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN! I suggest that people in isolation don't use them because they obviously can't do their job properly!

DO NOT GO HERE! My husband has got food poisoning twice from here! We thought the first time was a fluke but he had happy choice last night and he is VERY poorly this morning! NSF please pay them A visit! AVOID!!!!
