King Do in Derby

Egg fried rice, black pepper sauce and chips order...get home with curry sauce...come on it's simple. Miss the old place now in littleover....I'll go there from now on:(

Have tried many Chinese takeaways in Derby. This one is the very best. Consistently good food. Always hot, order correct and fast delivery with a smile. Have tried many of the dishes on the menu and not found one that's not been tasty. A fair price too. Thank you.

We always used King do as it did the best extra hot curry sauce and the king do house special fried rice was awesome. Except for this time.. The curry sauce was like gravy, the fried rice tasted like it had been there for a week, there was a nasty taste to it. The chips must have been there since before the lock down. I hate writing bad reviews as it has always been our favourite. I rang back and just got told we will give you 10% off the next order. That's no good for this order, and I'm sorry, we will not be ordering again from you.

I have only one star for this place and thats because the food came 1hr early.... the food was an absolute disaster. The prawn toast was dripping in grease, the spring rolls are better at Iceland for a £1, the special fried rice was greasy and soggy, and the Cantonese roast duck was all batter and gristle and not even roast duck.... it was in greasy batter and not duck breast. My hubby said the Singapore chow mein was horrid. So really when we only have a treat every couple of months, if that i might as well have thrown the £26 IN THE BIN BECAUSE THATS WHERE MOST OF THE FOOD WENT....DIABOLICAL. do not buy your food from here if you have good taste. So annoyed.

This is the best Chinese takeaway in Derby, staff are welcoming, fast and efficient although it can take a little while to get through on the phone to order, due to their popular demand. Food is faultless always hot and never incorrect. I would never eat Chinese food from anywhere other than here. Excellent very good food, very good customer service. ... quite reasonable price would definitely go again. .

Meal arrived after 35 minutes but was cold. After reheating them both I realised the black pepper sauce was appalling, it looked like engine oil and probably tasted like it too! Last time I use this restaurant as it’s not the first time this has happened recently

The worst Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had. I had a chicken chow mein with “sauce” and barely managed half of it. Huge chunks of chicken at the bottom with really watery noodles just plonked on top. Very much akin to the type you boil in a pan at home. Previous orders from this restaurant have been just about ok, minus their sub par Szechuan, but this one made sure I wouldn’t be returning.

Sorry to say the quality and flavour of the food has gone down hill.Having been going to the take away for 6 plus years its just not that good any more.The service is prompt and kinda friendly and the delivery service is reasonable.I'm just not that jazzed by the food anymore, would like some thing really nice fresh and tasty not just the usual bland chicken chunks in oddly thick sauces with far too many green peppers.
