Mahmaan in Derby

We were there for my birthday & Valentine's Day.From the poppadoms to the end it was really good The staff were helpful and friendly at all times. It was a very dark rainy night so I didn't get a photo of the building but inside looked new and clean.I'd be more than happy to go back anytime. Its local for my daughter so she uses them for take a ways regularly. You can't recommend a place better than that...

Very disappointed with Mahmaan tonight. Our table was booked for 6pm. Our starter arrived after an hour and a half and our main course took three and a half hours. Very busy in the restaurant but priority was given to take aways. Very bad the food was OK but not worth the wait.

Great service, have been using this place ever since it opened, always been great service whether I eat in, collect my meal or have it delivered.

Always lovely fresh food...a lovely meal for a mid week treat!

Visited Mahmaan again, on Saturday, didn't think the food or service could get better, I was wrong. Probably the best restaurant I have ever visited.

Taste was decent but curry was too watery and naans were small and the keema naan contained no keema. A shame as this is our nearest curry house and it’s the first time we have tried it. Wouldn’t order again other places are superior.

Ordered online, quick and easy to use. Our food was very good apart from sheek kebabs for starters we're a little dry. Tikka masala for main with garlic and cheese naan was excellent and tasty. The poppadoms and pickle tray were also good. Not expensive as we thought just under £20 and delivery was free!

First time we've used this restaurant, had a take away. Very impressed and called the restaurant to compliment them on the excellent quality of food. Very tasty dishes and good sized portions too. Will definitely be ordering from here again.

Great curry, lovely service. Atmosphere inside is good, takeaway Currys are just as good as when inside. Staff are friendly, helpful and can really make great recommendations based on your tastes. Well recommended.

Saturday 9th Nov, 2019. Ordered food at 6:25 for delivery. 8:05 no sign of food so rang restaurant, tried for 20 minutes then gave up and drove directly to restaurant to pick up food. Noticed the phones were taken off the hook on arrival explaining the constant engaged tone and the fact they couldn't cope with orders even though the resturant was only half full? Asked where my order was and the guy looked clueless? Eventually given order with no apology and asked for a discount as per their 15% pickup discount and the waiter preceded to write some details on the back of the receipt and said you will receive on next order, how, by telepathy?? Brought food home and found items missing and it was only luke warm so clearly had been rushed and forgotten about? I cannot recommend this restaurant but if you do use them your safest bet is to pick up your order and make sure it's hot and complete!!
