Matlock Green Fish Bar in Derby

Sausage and chips Sir. Chips were great, I know its only a chips but I'm sure these were done in beef dripping. Unfortunately due to all the fuel increases local chippy's are a little more expensive, at this its chippy worth it.

Nice food, friendly staff

Absolutely beautiful, freshly cooked Haddock and chips.

Its basically a lucky dip here. Sometimes the food is good, with hot chips, and meaty fish. But sometimes you will expect better. Not the best chippy ever, but its ok.

Best fish and chips I have tasted in a long time and the fresh fish freshly cooked whilst you wait. Beautifully cooked chips just how they should be not like some of these big fat frozen horried things you often get served elsewhere.

Really delicious fish and chips, felt really safe ordering during Covid, placed my order inside and waited outside then went back in to collect. Seems really clean and friendly.

Really great food. I have high standards for fish and chips, this was perfectly cooked. We had the mini cod meal and the portion was great for dinner.

Great food, decent sizes for price. Would you like staff to wear masks in a deadly global pandemic? If you don't wear a mask, its nice if you smile.

Lovely people run this place. They too can't understand why my boyfriend doesn't have salt and vinegar on his chips. We always share a fish, share a portion of chips, and he has battered sausage. Mushy peas and curry sauce. They actually do a whole range of less 'traditional chippy' things (wraps etc.) Which I must try.

Cheap place to eat fish or chicken and chips , nice hot chocolate for £1.60 and the toilets are disgusting...Smelly and not clean. The decoration is a bit aged but to save money is ok although the mayonnaise and ketchup is charged for £0.25 pence each so ...It's warm but normal
