Standing Order in Derby

Huge building quick friendly service and value for money. We had a large mixed grill. Really enjoyed it. Have to say I don't usually eat at wetherspoons but I was pleasantly surprised here.

Come here very often for pre drinks, and they serve good quality cheap food. Easy to order on the app.

Nice surroundings but food not up to much. We ordered a pizza and all day brunch. The pizza was raw in the middle and all day brunch was a bit pathetic on bean and chips. Usual sticky tables and dirty floors expected for the price

It is a nice pub, the building is by far the best feature. Outstandingly breath taking. However the staff are not so impressive. Spaulding around on large tables in their uniforms whilst on their break, making the paying costumers stand in the isles and be shoved by the working staff to be told that you are in the way. Eventually managed to get a table only to be told that that table doesn't exist in their system and not being able to order anything via the app. Poorly managed on costumer services.

Yet again the failure of wetherspoons to deliver a hot plate of food. The peas were stone cold and a third of my 8oz sirloin was gristle. I am getting sick and tired of returning food when I just want to go and eat. Wetherspoons seem to rely on their customers to police the quality control so a word of advice to the eating public, send your food back until they start supplying what's on the menu. And hot!

Yeah what a lovely place to go if you fancy being manhandled.I was having a thoroughly enjoyable night with a friend I hadn’t seen in a long time. Naturally as time passed, it became natural to finish up our drinks and make our way - hence the instructions of the bouncer-come-dictator.Now, as someone whom has first hand experience of over four years within hospitality, I can find empathy with a person who appears to be finding it tough, particularly on the weekends.However, this was not to be the case as the abhorrent and frankly ridiculous behaviour of the ‘bouncer’ took precedent over what was generally a throughly enjoyable evening.The phrase ‘power trip’ doesn’t seem apt enough. The man grasped my drink from my mouth and launched it to the side, which in-turn caught me on its way through.As aforementioned, I am a man that understands hospitality, and particularly the weekends and what they entail. I am not somebody that showed force - nor somebody that ultimately deserved this enforcement.A pathetic and untimely let-down to his colleagues who deserve utmost praise for handling events as I’m sure they do most times - in a professional and non-psychical manner.A real stain on an otherwise perfectly enjoyed evening.

Always a good atmosphere, food came quickly and was great but the drink offer usually always arrives after you've finished eating. We had to clear our own table before sitting.It's no fault of the staff, they have too much placed on their shoulders and 'spoons are too tight to fix the issue. Not to mention the atrocious way that the CEO handled the pandemic.

My favourite spoons in derby city Centre ter, all staff are pleasant and helpful, service is quick food is decent here and all the deals they have on. Deffo good prices for alcohol better than other spoons and yh a nice spoons in the centre.Really big inside high ceilings, I like standing order

Lovely spoons! Ordered via the app on a busy day after Derby’s half marathon and the orders arrived nice and quickly. Very spacious with lots of seats and a nice large area out the back with benches!

I was very impressed with the indoor architecture. The inside is similar to The Old Joint Stock in Birmingham.Good service on my visit yesterday (24/10/21). I had fish, chips and peas for 3.99. For a drink I had a Queen of hearts which is one of the ales on during the Wetherspoons Real Ale Festival.Located close to the cathedral and next door to Lloyds Wetherspoons
