Subway Sandwiches & Salads in Derby

Really surprised as the reviews for this place seemed pretty good, maybe it's just because it's a bank holiday.Place was empty and dirty, no other customers but napkins and things left laying aroundStaff were not friendly at all and you could tell that they really didn't want to be there.Subs were made with no effort at all, just thrown together and all falling apart.Same employee did both parts of the process, meat and salad and didn't change gloves, not an issue for myself but from a food hygiene standard this is not good, someone touching the meat then the veggies is not ideal when you have people with dietary requirements.No napkins, bags, cutlery offered and given the state of how the subs were made; we needed to eat them with a knife and fork.I certainly will not be going to this Subway again and unless you want to eat your sandwich with a knife and fork, I wouldn't recommend you do either

Staff were friendly and deficient in serving the food but they could do with being acquainted with the concept of giving the tables a wipe and the joys of sweeping the ankle deep food on the floor. It looked like a scene from a disaster movie.

Lovely clean restuarant with friendly and efficient staff. They serve Gluten free sandwiches too. All the food is fresh and very tasty.

Nice food and pleasant enough staff. Could be a bit cleaner around seating areas though.

Ordered a meatfree meatball with plant based cheese, the server Jade picked up the bread without changing her gloves after handling meat, when I pointed out that she had not changed her gloves she got all surly and said that she had just been on the ‘meat station’ and some other unintelligent backchat. Needless to say I didn’t want anything to eat from there nor will I in future. The whole restaurant is generally unclean. Avoid - they don’t even follow basic food hygiene rules!

The food was OK. Very slow service. I unfortunately used the loo after eating which was grim and smelt of mould. I reported it to the staff who didn't seem bothered.

This is one of the better Subways.Food was well prepared and the staff were very polite.Can get busy around lunchtime, but that's a good sign they are doing something right!!

Just got a steak and cheese wrap. The staff refused to toast it until after I had the salad on there. Why would you toast the salad. Retraining desperately needed. Cold food as I don't want hot lettuce and cucumber. Terribly disappointed.
