The Chestnut Tree in Derby

Heard great things about the curries here, and being a curry lover I though I would come and check it out.I was very impressed, created by a lovely chap behind the bar, and the food was delicious. One of the best curries I’ve had in a long time, I had chicken madras and the wife had tikka paneer butter masala. I can highly recommend this place. Will deffo be back

Best Indian food in Derby, bar none! Yes, Viceroy, Anoki, Shalimar are impressive, but the food at the Chestnut cannot be matched!

The car park is big and safe. On arrival we were greeted and seated and given menus. We ordered a mixed grill and two house special curry’s, the food really was authentic, tasty and probably the best mixed grill in Derby. The nans were very tasty too. The Carling was fresh and nice. Large spacious interior with good customer service. Will be returning soon,

Very ignorant staff I always love going there but this staff I can’t take it anymore they so rude and level of customer service is beyond zero never going back hate this pub now I’ll suggest not to go there 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏am done

I vist this establishment very frequently but after tonight's experience I don't think I will be returning. All im going to say is if you like a coffee after your meal do not ask for one you will get a very ignorant reply ! If you don't do hot drinks I would understand but there is no need to be rude. On the other hand food was lovely and the staff are very efficient 10 out 10 for YOUR service. Your toilets are very damaged and need a GOOD Clean especially the top of the hand dryer oh you could also print some new menus instead of writing prices on.

Had a meal and it was to the high standards I expect,played pool on a re-clothed Supreme table and won 5-1 Top DJ Ben was on,good choices in songs and washed down by a gallon of beer,enjoyable experience

OMG easily the best value curry ever. So fresh, so delicious, first choice for me when in the mood for good pint and a curry. Highly recommend :)
