Nice pub. Barman was disinterested though. Gave me 3 pints instead of 2. Ordered 2 bowls of chips, Nachos and onion rings. Received nachos and onion rings but no chips. Went to bar to ask about chips and they only sent out 1bowl. Couldn't be bothered to ask again. Shame really because some of the staff seem really good.

Stayed as visiting friends for evening. Very comfortable quiet room, good breakfast also. Staff polite friendly and helpful. Will return when in area visiting again

Went to a 50th birthday party at their function room, which was a well presented and independent from the main bar/restaurant. The buffet they provided was of a good quality. They have a separate well stocked bar, probably back to back with the main bar, and separate wc facilities. Ideal for a group of 50 or more.

A lovely public house that served good beers and fantastic food. A lovely clean place with friendly staff. All at reasonable prices as well. Would definitely go again in the near future.

Finished off her after a family walk. Really enjoyed sitting out in the sun, so much so a quick drink turned into a full afternoon and a meal there. Will be regulars now the In-Laws are moving around the corner from there

Lovely food, big portion of a ploughman salad, varied menu. Nice clean venue and helpful staff, what else is required? I would recommend

·

Superb food and great friendly service, a very busy pub and restaurant which shows how popular it is.

Disappointed.my husband had a meal off the special board and found the portion size poor but what he had was good.I had Rump steak medium and it was like shoe leather, sent it back but by the time a new meal appeared my husband had finished and had to sit and watch me eat.I do hate this, couldn't they have kept my hubands meal warm so we could at least eat together!!!!.Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Lovely 3 course Christmas Fayre lunch. 7 of us went yesterday - no complaints at all. All courses beautifully served - plenty of vegetables - in fact plenty of everything. Excellent value, excellent service, nicely decorated for Christmas.

Visited couple of weeks ago and frankly the food was average at best.We didn't have a reservation but the staff were able to find us a spot which was nice.Ordered the Ultimate burger.Served quickly but that's where it stops really. For an ultimate burger I would at least expect a brioche bun.The chicken was actually quite nice and moist but the beef burger was bland, frankly, even MCD has more taste to their burgers. There were also fried onions but it was more like burnt greasy onions. On the side there was a decent portion of chips but these were also greasy and not in a nice way.All in all, rather average and slightly disappointed given so many positive reviews and recommendations from friends. Will give it another go soon
