Came for drinks and a meal over the weekend. Food was delicious and well presented. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Will be returning soon!

Thought Alison and Cassie are two of the best bar tenders I’ve ever had the pleasure of being served by. There customer service skills are second to none, treated us like absolute royalty. Serving some of the best food I’ve ever tasted. 10/10. Would come again.

Emily served us all night and she was amazing. Cassi was also amazing. They both served us kindly and were so nice all night. It was for a wake but they were amazing! Honestly thank them so much- they were amazing!!

Sorry to have to say this as we have eaten here on a number of occasions over many Christmas,s, but this year Christmas Day Dinner was inedible. The service was poor at best, we were booked in for 12 o’clock waited until 12.50 which wasn’t to bad but the gravy for the dinner arrived at the table 45 minutes later hence the dinner was cold and had to be microwaved. Not ideal for Christmas dinner. We received our sweet course at 3pm, which I must say this was the only Course which I ate.

Go here once a month to meet friends. Well won’t be going again the food was awful and the wait time was ridiculous nearly an hour and the portion sizes were a laugh. There was five of us and only one person got edible food. The staff are fine and do there best but honestly sort your kitchen out and get someone to present good food not microwave rubbish

It was Christmas eve, we had booked a table for 10 with pre drinks. We arrived early by 15 minutes and there were people still on the table which is fair enough as we were early. The bar was very, very busy but the staff were able to seat us quite quickly. We waited until our booked time then I requested our drinks we had pre ordered, then the bar manager came and decorated our table with crackers and a couple of tea lights, other tables were dressed with table clothes but we were early so that's our fault. However I had to request our starters, main and desert. With all the waiting it took 2 hours and 45 minutes for our entire meal to be served to us. There were some problems with our meal like the kids starters and deserts were served last (I always think the kids should be served first), there was inconsistentcy with the dishes, some with prawn cocktails were given bread and butter alongside, some were given just prawns, lettuce and sauce and the portion sizes differed quite dramatically. I've visited the Lodge before several times, we have had a large family party there with 60 people and this is the first time I've been disappointed. So I would advise that the lodge is a fantastic place to visit for food and atmosphere, unless you want a nice family meal on Christmas eve!

Came to the Lodge as a large group of 25 booking for a birthday party! All meals came to the tables together. They were all piping hot and cooked to perfection. Been to the lodge a few times now and never had an issue. Highly recommended. Thank you for a great evening.

We came here after a long drive. We always look out for a greene king pub because the service is always spot on. Unfortunately this time it wasn't.The decor of the place was a mixture of new and worn out. We waited 45mins for our food with no warning before ordering that there was a delay. We did get a warning around 30mins into our wait that the food was on its way.I have a chicken less fillet burger which I'd describe as goujons, they were quite over cooked. Tasted like burnt cardboard. Only 2 onion rings when the menu said 3. The worst was my daughters fish which was covered in pepper. We were so tired and hungry we ate most if it and left with out complaining because it was getting late and we wanted to get to the hotel.
