Dropped in here without a booking and managed to get a table! Food was absolutely stunning. The steak was cooked to perfection. Loved the sides of the steak too. My partner had the burger which was also amazing. The staff was so friendly. Definitely would recommend a visit. Will be back.

Nice steak for my son, my wife really enjoyed the 2 vegi starters she had as mains, but l was rather disappointed with my roast beef dinner which was rather bland. The roast potatoes seemed deep fried and hard and the whole meal seemed to lack the meat juice flavour you want from a roast.

Echo the top review below. All the meals we ordered were superb, my partner ( long term curry fan) said it was the best curry he had ever had, including Indian restaurants. Interior beautiful, staff attentive and professionalSuperb, visit this restaurant!

Absolutely top-level experience! Firstly, the menu is to die for, kudos to the chef and/or menu developer - I wanted one of everything. Service was attentive and helpful from the start, the interior is beautiful. Couldn't fault the food, the four of us said every element was delicious. Would love to come back and see how the menu changes with the seasons. Favourites to call out, the Blackberry & Ginger Julep mocktail, Chinese pork cubes, Bistro rump with the red onion rings and truffle fries. Heaven!

Our second visit to this restaurant and just as good if not better than the first. Relaxing atmosphere, friendly service and excellent food from an inspired menu.

Be sure to arrive in advance as parking was not easy to find.It took an hour for our mains to arrive. Service was very slow.My meal was nice, but 2 of my friends had ordered the gnocchi which was not very good at all. They both ate it as they were so hungry from waiting for food to arrive and didn't want to wait longer for another meal (as it was already almost 8pm).After speaking to 3 different people about how bad in particular the sauce was, we were told that it had been prepared fresh that morning and as no one else had sent it back there was nothing they could do. Nothing. There were literally 6 of us sat there who had tasted the sauce and all thought it was horrible. The guy was trying to apologize, but it wasn't sincere at all. It's a real shame as we are all local and visited the palfrey when it was in the city centre and loved it.We were so excited to visit the restaurant at its new location but this as spoiled the venue for us and we won't be returning.

Beyond impressed! The food was lovely and the staff where so approachable and I felt they really cared about our dining experience. They always mad sure the food was to our liking and if we needed anything else to improve our dining experience. As one of my guests was a celiac they took extra care when relaying the information to the chefs! We greatly appreciate this. I would definitely recommend, I will be coming here again in the near future!

The service is phenomenal! I was so impressed, it was full at the time but the service was swift and efficient. The food was fantastic, while the current outdoor menu is limited, our starter and steaks were incredible! Note the pork belly cubes with sweet potato ketchup does come as a 4 but I was too greedy before taking the photo! The outdoor eating area is in a courtyard. It was covered, 3ish tables had overhead head heating. To see then menu you have to either scan a QR code or Google it as I suspect many restaurants are doing to reduce contact. You can hire blankets with a returnable £10 deposit.I highly recommend The Palfrey and look forward to returning myself soon.

The service was excellent, we don't know our way around derby and got lost, so called and a member of the team came out to find us! Quality cocktails and food. Would recommend 😁
