The Potting Shed Cafe in Derby

Really enjoy it here.Came yesterday with my friend.Asked for gluten free and also vegan options but didn't get lots of choice unfortunately however found something sweet for my friend and I asked for something of menu I could eat that the team members were more than happy to accommodate.Food was really niceIced oat coffee was just wonderful.Nice atmosphere. Not too busy and appreciated that the cafe layout isn't cluttered with as many tables next to each other as they can like you find in other places.Friendly team members who helped with everything I asked :)Also refreshing to see team members looking individual and not having to cover up their tattoos :)Lost a star for lack of gf and VG options unfortunately but still happy to return and will return in future!Thank you :)

Just enjoyed the most delicious breakfast I’ve had in a long time. Fast service, piping hot, tasty food.We had he Gardener’s Breakfast and The Apprentice Gardener’s Breakfast with a Coffee and a Pot of Tea, followed by a Cappuccino and a Hot Chocolate.The breakfasts were great value for money.The staff were polite, friendly, very welcoming and attentive.The setting is bright, airy and fresh!We don’t visit often, but today didn’t disappoint from previous enjoyed visits.Thank you!

Great cafe hidden in a small garden centre which makes a nice background for our side eating. Delicious lunch served quickly. Good kids menu. Excellent cake selection for after!

A hidden gem in Derby and the perfect place to while away the afternoon for a catch up with friends, or simply for some peace and quiet. Great food (especially the cakes) and a really lovely atmosphere. :)

Took my wife and daughter for a lovely breakfast. The special that my wife had there previously wasn't on the board but the staff were more than happy to accommodate, and it was marvelous. Super service, friendly and helpful.

Enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea here this afternoon with a friend. The tables were spaciously set out and we enjoyed lovely views out to the gardens and plants. The staff were very friendly and efficient and nothing was too much trouble. A great afternoon tea experience.

Due to covid we haven't ventured out much and as we have not been for a while we decided to pay another visit. Some might say it's a little pricey but you cannot fault the place. Tables are well placed with spacing, staff are extremely polite and friendly and food is always fresh and mostly cooked to order so what's not to like. And next to a garden centre.

Lovely place in lovely area. Delicious food and welcoming staff. Service was perfect. Coffee great. Clean dinning area and sparkling clean toilets. A fantastic atmosphere, relaxing countryside location at minutes from the city centre. The only bit is the prices, a bit higher than expected but definitely worth it. A great place for the whole family.

Went a few days ago and can honestly say its quirky ,welcoming and staff were lovely,food is very reasonable priced ,there is lots of seating available, will definitely be going again ..
