The Red Cow in Derby

Been here here a few times over the years. Never had a bad meal. Last time I was very impressed with the quality of the meal. The Sea Bass was very tasty. Have they got a new chef or is he just getting better. Well done.

My daughter aged 21 wanted a nice quiet night with one friend at the red cow and was refused a drink as she was under 25. I am disappointed that she can no longer think this is her local pub. I think the management need to review this rule as age doesn’t define how you behave or what type of customer you are.

Food was good. Not sure who served us as the lady was a bit coy. We don't go here very often but we never get asked where we are from or if we live locally. It could be so much better.

Great pub. Food looks great although never eaten there yet. Staff friendly and inviting. Never too busy and great selection of beers.

Just had lunch with all the family to celebrate husband's birthday. Everything was really good they went to a lot of trouble to cater for vegetarian an gluten free.Would recommend.Well done.

Really lovely friendly pub. Booked for a family meet up and brought along our dogs. Couldn't have asked for more. Nice food, great service 👌

Lovely Sunday lunch with friends in our walking group. They ran out of one the craft ales that I wanted to try, but I swapped drinks with one of my friends so I didn't miss out after all. Staff were friendly and obliging.

Lovely place, food and service. We had butternut squash and chickpea curry and the red cow beef burger which we would highly recommend. We'll be coming back soon!

Unbeatable value. For £45 you or I can have a starter plus a main course from the small plates menu. Thats around the same price as a lunch at other local pubs. Except...this is £45 for a whole week, 5 starters and 5 main courses from the small plates menu (basically a business lunch menu). So thats why i am back again today. Cant beat it. And im not being paid to write this, just feel it needs to be put out there as it is fantastic value. Yesterday was liver and bacon, today was chicken breast in cream sauce.both lovely and served by attentive staff. Pate starter both days. absolutely superb both days.
