The head waiter here called Jay went over and above to welcome us even though it was nearly closing time. He gave us great advice with our order and made us feel very valued. The whole experience was great!I would highly recommend eating here the food and service was faultless.

WOW, what can I say!! Absolutely amazing food, service was 100%, very friendly & pleasant. Nothing was too much bother. Visiting Derby so never been here & would definitely come back & recommend to anyone. You won’t be disappointed.

I order regular for home delivery, never had a problem before. Food has always been excellent. However today, I was extremely disappointed, deliver took over 1 1/2 hours and food was not up to standard. I ordered chips which cost £2.50 and they looked like they had been refried. They were hard overcooked and cold. I have always rated the food 10/10, but today 3/10, and that is me be g kind.I have to say that the gentleman at the restaurant was extremely polite and got to the bottom of how long my order would be and the delivery driver was very apologetic.I hope it was just a one off, but we may try somewhere else.

What I loved most about viceroy is the great ambience they create, it's truly one of the best places to take your fiancé, or to go out with those special friends for a great dinner out. The food is spectacular and exactly as you would want it. I recommend this place to all those who wish to try fine Indian dining

Waited for 15 minutes, no one bothered to attend. When tried to speak to a staff, was rudely told that it will take an hour. The only word I uttered was ‘brother’, the guy in response rudely told me pointing his finger that I got to wait. I don't think answer to ‘brother’ is a long rude response. At least hear the customer first, may be I had a different question.I think staff here cannot cope with the pressure. If its a busy day, they just forget everything . We have food at our home, we come to good restaurants for nice evening.Let me know if you guys need training on customer service and working under pressure. I will offer you free of charge.

We had a big work event. They were able to seat us all comfortably on their large upper floor. Service was friendly, and reasonably efficient. Despite the volume of food being served, the food was excellent!

After waiting for almost 20 minutes just to order for a takeaway, i tried to ask a staff but before i could say a word he replied bro i am too busy and it will take atleast an hour for order to come. Is this how you treat your regular customer. I recommend they should train their staff how to work in hospitality industry. Service is not at all up to the mark.

I can happily say I have never had a bad experience from The Viceroy. As for the food quality, I would easily say this is my favourite curry house in Derby & the delivery is always on time, with the staff who deliver always friendly. I would highly recommend The Viceroy, especially the garlic chill lamb! You won't be disappointed!

One of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had. We were left to wait for over 2 hours for our food to arrive. The food was finally delivered by the manager who was extremely rude and proceeded to hand out a number of dishes which we hadn’t ordered to the table. When told that we hadn’t received one particular dish ordered the manager made the comment “well I think you’ve got enough there” and didn’t return with the dish ordered. At the end of the meal the manager refused to talk to a member of the party about the poor service and in turn left one of the waitresses (who hadn’t dealt with our table and who was very apologetic and understanding) to attempt to explain the behaviour of her own manager. Safe to say the managers behaviour and service of this restaurant left a lot to be desired

Great ambiance, nice serene atmosphere and great service from a large majority of the waiters and waitresses. If unsure of any dish, best to ask the waiter or waitress. By their recommendation, we had great wine and food. Food is not really chill hot but spicy enough for Indian food.
