Been for a family meal last night, great food, great service and brilliant new look, recommend a visit!

Great atmosphere, good range of beers and lager, inexpensive, top quality pool table, 2 new dart boards and 4 screens to watch sport in the main bar. What more could you want?

Went for lunch. Cheap and cheerful. Can't complain at £35 for 4 of us eating 2 courses! That includes our drinks! Good on a tight budget.

First visit for a few years, new landlord seems to have made significant improvements. The lounge was clean & fresh. Husband said the beer was good, which it hasn't been for some years. And not a dog in sight 👍 unlike other pubs in the area. Will go again.

First visit in quite a while after being told there were vast improvements being made so it was incredibly disappointing to find tasteless food which didn't even come out with all the associated greenery on the burgers as stated in the menu. I could possibly understand this if it was busy but there were only 2 tables having food and the other table got mains out before starters! On the plus side it was inexpensive and my coffee was fine.

Great local pub. Reasonably priced and friendly staff. The new management team are really making an effort to update and improve it by redecorating the pub as well as introducing other improvements. Beer is good quality and always 2-3 cask ales available. If you’re local to Allestree I would definitely recommend giving it a try.

Great experience upon visiting the Woodlands, the staff are all lovely and provide a really wonderful service, I ever so enjoyed my evening and throoughly look forward to visiting again in the near future!

Gents toilets need attention. They absolutely PONG possibly due faulty flush mechanism on urinals. Very unhygienic. Ongoing issue, not being resolved, not acceptable.
