Zanfish Allenton in Derby

Last time we went here, wasn't up to par like they normally are. Prices going up but quality of food isn't. Shame really as its normally our go to chippy.

Chips are sharp and no potato hardly inside...the last 3 times I've eaten here its been the same.Food great but don't know why my chips are always crispy as they never used to be....love this chip shop but really not impressed with the chips.I don't like leaving negative comments but it's really annoying cus I look forward to my food and it tastes great but I don't get to eat the chips because they are not great.

I don't have take out very often, so when I do I expect quality and good service, which is all you get here. The staff are lovely, the place as a real 'family feel' to it, they're always cheerful, and the service is SO fast too!. These guys put the big fast food chains to shame with the speed of service and food quality. Shop is very clean, Covid procedures always followed, great big menu. A real gem of a chippy.

Amazing, best for fish and chips , higher price but sooo worth it

The wife when the other day my normal is haddock but had ran out so she order me place instead i was a bit disappointed when she said. but after eating it was cooked well crispy batter fish nice and creamy like place should be give it a try plus it is sustainable.

There’s an old short white haired lady, always shouting and being rude to the younger staff. She gave me the wrong order and proceeded to blame the younger staff members even though it was her fault. Horrible food wouldn’t recommend at all. Chips are dry and chicken is raw. Rude old lady at till. Awful.

Great food zan fish . I had fish and chips gorgeous I always use them when I'm in the area. I took my food and ate them in the car.

Well my husband has just been and tried his first kebab wrap after a recommendation from me and what a disappointment it was, only 7 pieces of kebab meat but packed with salad well disappointed and angry he is at that price, normally really good what’s happening is it the fact that you are being served by young staff that don’t know what they are doing. So he will not be going there for that again shame as I really love the kebab wraps.

Very tasty fish and chips. One of best around Allenton.They also have kebabs and doners which are good. Portion size is very generous
