Great fish and chips if you are looking for lunch in Bakewell. Seating upstairs and the service was exceptional.

Visited here as a couple on Market Day. We had the OAP specials. An apology was given for a lack of home made sauce tartare. Superb, tasty and perfectly cooked meals. With drinks and bread. Excellent service. I can't think of better fish and chips in the Midlands.

Just had 2 fish&chips, (1 large, 1small) and chicken naggetts for our daughter.Very disappointed as the fish were very small, what we got as a large cod would have been a small one in other places. Also there was barely any fish in them and the batter was awful, it had the texture of a pastry, never had anything like that before.I will never eat from this place again and do not recommend.

Best fish and chips we've had in years. We will be driving from Nottingham again to eat here. Staff friendly and fast efficient service.

I had a small cod and chips and it was delicious, fresh and really a good price for the quality. Staff very welcoming and a good service.

Sally the manager served us. She is friendly and cheerful. Food was hot and tasty. Had to wait for a table but was worth it.UPDATEWent again yesterday (04/10/21). Nothing had changed. Staff excellent, very clean and still had to queue to get in. Still fantastic service and food was delicious. Jewel in the crown called Bakewell

Best fish and chips in Bakewell? A good contender. Chips were nice ( although could do with bit more cooking - not sure why chippies insist on anaemic looking chips ☹️ ) fish was nicely battered. Batter was light and not greasy. Peas were ok. Portion size just right ( mini fish special £5.50 ( mini fish, chips and peas ) ideal for a wet summer day in the Peaks.

Very nice fish and chips restaurant. Staff extremely polite and friendly, food tasty and fresh, very clean place, fast service. Definitely recommend it

Small ground floor take away with a nice little restaurant above.I have to say this is some of the friendliest service we've received in a restaurant, in a long time.The serving staff simply could not do enough to help everyone & make them as comfortable as possible, despite being very busy & rushed.We had fish & chips which were to die for and we're very reasonably priced, & a lot cheaper than the cafe over the road!We were offered a jar of home made tartar sauce, to go with our meal & it was simply gorgeous.My only complaint is, that eventually we had to leave, to go home!

Really enjoyed fish and chips here. Nice portion, fair price. Found cod cooked well and not oily. Chips very nice as well. Service was fair, could be slight lot more attentive. Comfortable and modern interior.
