Lovely cafe, seems to be family run, friendly staff. Only problem was you cant have breakfast items after 12 or lunch items earlier than 12. This is due to the small kitchen work area, so compromise has to be made

A great little cafe, dog friendly with really nice friendly owners. Very reasonably priced food and the jacket potatoes are huge! Highly recommended. Very COVID secure.

·

Nice cafe with a courtyard tucked away in a lovely spot. Service was excellent and fully COVID compliant. Food and drink was certainly good and at very reasonable prices Nice coffee glasses too! Free water bottle refills for cyclists was a bonus 👍🏼

Review of customer service without actually eating.Upon entering this cafe was eerily quiet. The server was cleaning a table. Once seated. Not one shred of politeness. " can you move your seat or i can't get past'.Then after seeing the menu we were borderline over for breakfast serving times.I asked is it still available. He said 'you'd be lucky to get breakfast now'1 corner later. We came across cool rivers cafe who did all day breakfast.Probably a nice cafe for food, maybe he had a bad day. But it still put us off.

What an absolute hidden treasure of Matlock. The food is delicious and truly has that 'home cooked' feel. The cakes are especially good and the service is excellent. Genuinely friendly and lovely people who run the cafe are happy to have a chat as well.

A hidden gem in Matlock. An unexpected find after visiting Matlock for years and years. Tucked away off of Dale Road this friendly cafe has a shared courtyard with outdoor seating. Inside has plenty of tables set out in a no fuss or faff way. The menu is the same, sticking to good traditional cafe food that's mostly locally sourced. Now to the best part, THE FOOD. Prepared to order and served to your table. I had a plate of beans on toast with mushrooms & tomatoes. It was delicious severed with mug of black coffee. My wife had a chip butty and without reservation she said it was the best she's ever had. We'll be going back each time we're in Matlock without a doubt.

Brilliant customer service and amazing value for money. Me and my family couldn't recommend more highly. We visited recently and always would rather support a local business especially in these times. Dog and children friendly. And we couldn't have felt more welcome. Thank you so much.

Visited this lovely little cafe today. Lovely coffee and mocha, tasty toasties and delicious cookies at a bargain price of 3 for £1!!! 😀

Very friendly local cafe close to the station and centre of matlock, very nice interior and helpful and friendly staff, the hot choclate is a 10/10 from me :)

A little off the beaten track but well worth the visit. Makes a good cup of coffee and the breakfast was just what you need.
