Staff were pleasant, it was was a Bank Holiday and there were approximately a third of the tables free but 3 hadn't been cleared. The bathroom is dated and didn't feel immensely hygienic although it was reasonably clean. It was ten pounds something for a toasted sandwich and can of pop. The pop wasn't very cool and we had to ask for ice in our cloudy glasses. The toasties were lovely unusual fillings but were a little dry and greasy at the same time. My friend cut the roof of her mouth on the facaccia bread. There was no crisps, chips or salad with it, we had to send it back to be cut in half as we were not given a knife. It's okay...but not really the best value.

Terrible service…. Firstly stood for nearly 10minutes waiting to be served with a four month old, one year old, and six year old, to get told they were no longer serving food. This was at 10.30am on a Sunday morning, and the cafe was not full, with at least two spare tables. There were at least three girls serving and at least one in the kitchen so for the size of this cafe it just did not make sense. After the long wait to be served and receiving this news there was no food, I said it was no problem and perhaps we could wait for a few takeout bacon sandwiches (nice and easy) after we had had some coffees in. The girl serving went to check and we could actually hear the lady in the kitchen shouting that she had been constantly cooking for two hours and the answer was no! The final straw is that they only accept cash! Very disappointing.

Food was good but card machine wasnt working when we were there and the lack of gumption front of house meant they weren't handling it particularly well, letting groups come in and set down with kids and all before telling them and a bit surly when we asked for an additional order when a friend with more cash turned up. They apologised though and undoubtedly stressful on a weekend but 2 girls at the counter could have stepped up a bit.

Service very slow . Ordered the Welsh rarebit which had that much mustard in it it tasted very vinegary . Couldnt eat it so politely told the waitress who took it back to kitchen. All we heard was a lady In the kitchen say it’s supposed to taste like that ?? I don’t think so . Also ordered a tuna Mayo Sandwich, very bland . No refund offered . After many visits will not be returning

I had a pleasure to be here once before with my friend, just before going to the Christmas Market in Chatsworth. The place is very cozy, warm, friendly and with delicious food and really tasty earl grey tea. I will definitely come back here on my next visit ☺️

Unscheduled stop for bacon sandwiches. Immense. Straight into the top five best bacon sandwiches and strolling their way to five stars. Delightful. The coffee was excellent, also. Thanks.

Nice cafe, breakfast quite expensive and small, lovely bacon, tiniest sausage ever 🥓🍳

A great cafe for cyclists, fantastic Coffee and a perfect menu to fuel your ride. I had the Italian toasted Chorizo mozzarella and pesto sandwich, it is absolutely delicious, home made cake to follow.Perfect location to stop during a ride in the Peak District close to Chatsworth house and grounds.

Amazing food, we had breakfast and the bread was lovely. Friendly staff and felt very cozy. Also use their BnB apartment for the weekend and it was lovely, lovely design and cosy and has everything you need.
