Carriages Pub & Italian Restaurant in Derbyshire Dales

Tried this restaurant out based on the reviews. We were left highly disappointed. The pizza dough was undercooked and very doughy. The fact that the table next to us found hair in their food should have been a sign for us to leave.

Fantastic roast lamb dinner and bakewell tart cocktail was lovely!

WOW.....what a hidden gem, this place is amazing from the real railway carriages right down to the most tasteful meal from starters to the main couldn't even get to pudding the meals are so big had to have a doggy bag please keep your chef they make the place what a wonderful surprise to a trip to the peak district 😀 😊 will be coming back for more

Beautiful food, it was excellent quality and well presented. The salt and pepper squid starter was delicious and the slow cooked belly pork was also done to perfection! The staff are friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We have been twice recently now and are planning to go again in the near future. A little hidden gem that is well worth a visit.

Lovely clean pub/restaurant. We only had a drink but the staff were lovely. Will have a meal next time

I don't usually go out of my way to leave reviews but Carriages was welcoming to us and our dog. The food was exceptional in quality, quantity, presentation and value for money. I had no problem finding multiple options on the menu that I liked.

The food was really good; everything was cooked extremely well and served beautifully. Great portions sizes too; the loaded fries could easily be shared between two or three people.Good and fair pricing too.The train carriage was very fun to sit inside and beautifully decorated.The staff were very friendly and attentive too.

Such a cute quirky restaurant, great food which was well presented and friendly staff. The train carriage theming was a bit different. Wouldn't go here expecting a fancy meal but for a tasty, relaxed meal give it a go - you won't regret it!

We have just had a lovely eating experience at the beautifully decorated Carriages restaurant. The food was fantastic, the decor completely different to anything we've seen before and the staff helpful and friendly (sorry we couldnt tip you... we had zero cash with us, very embarrassing)..... We couldnt recommend eating here enough!!
