Having managed to get a parking space stopped by today for Fish & Chips ~ everything excellent from Welcome, cleanliness and food. Will definitely return. Well done lads you are a credit to yourselves 🤩

I live in a fishing town (hastings) known for its great fish and chips and i can honestly say this place beats them all hands down! Amazing dood, very well priced and lovely staff! Will be back next time I visit 🙂

Really great hidden gem. Just had a fantastic cooked breakfast..so so tasty. Friendly staff. Loved it. If you want a tasty breakfast Charles's is the place to go. Really clean.😀❤

Comfort food at its very best. Cheesy topped shepherds pie with chips mushy peas and lovely gravy 😋 piping hot just a treat. Lovely people, very clean premises very welcoming staff xx

Greeted by a very polite and professional gent, clearly passionate about his food and service which I liked. And the food? Bloody lush mate (aka superb/very good) I had the fish, chips and mushy peas and a pint! 👍

Great place to visit, felt welcome as soon as we arrived. Polite, courteous and helpful staff, lunch arrived quickly and tasted great. Would happily recommend. Thanks for a nice lunch chaps.

Decided to stop here on the way to our lodges . There were 20 of us (aged 60 plus to 1 year) and nothing was too much trouble or hassle. We have been before but not in such a large group, We enjoyed our food and the staff were great the portions are more than ampleWill always go here the best fish and chips in Matlock

Best fish in Matlock (in my opinion), great service and very friendly staff. Portion sizes are large but not unreasonably so, OAP smaller portion sizes available for just under a fiver for each dish. Fish is amazing and chips are really good. Couldn't ask for anything more.

Never disappointed.Charles knows how to run an establishment.It’s standard Matlock Bath fare and consistently good.We’ve previously had breakfast, fish and chips and now an evening meal. On the Saturday eve of the illuminations we only waited five minutes, were served quickly and no rush to finish.Highly recommend.
