No ice in the iced tea… tepidOh it’s probably melted… no we only walked 5 metres to a tableCleaning the tables and sweeping the floor… since when do you use the same brush to sweep the table as you’re using to sweep the floor?Either over friendly condescending staff or rude and ignorant, no happy medium

So, I’m not one to leave a review for a costa.. but I just want to say how incredibly nice and welcoming the ladies are at this costa. There’s about 3-4 ladies working this morning, and they are all super lovely, very nice and chatty. It’s great to see it!

Always enjoy grabbing a coffee from here when we are in Matlock. It was busy there today and the staff we very preoccupied took 3 attempts to get the order right.

The staff in matlock Costa are very friendly, helpful and extremely hands on. They timed my drink and toastie perfectly today and their customer service was great. I particularly liked the girl who was singing away to Christmas tracks because it shows that someone is enjoying their day which makes me enjoy mine even more x definitely recommend this place x

Two toilets, one always seems to be bout of order. No fresh gluten free cakes, just a couple of uninspiring, overpriced packet bits. Place is a bit run down. On the plus side, the staff are very nice and it was a lovely latte

A regular visitor to costa coffee shops. But I wont be returning to this one anytime soon. The staff were the most unwelcoming and miserable. Slow service. Serving others before me after my order had been taken. I had to ask if they had forgotten me. No problem with the coffee once I got it.

I understand it was ten minutes before closing when I visited; however, the staff were more interested in cleaning up then serving. No personality from till operator and not a word from the lady making the drinks. Overall a poor experience. Unlikely to visit again. Not recommended.

Lovely staff. Our favourite place to sit in for a coffee. My daughter loves the cakes and biscuits here. She loves the smoothies/iced smoothies. Always tip, staff deserve it they work hard to make you happy. They Have a great range at great price.

Not too bad and despite us turning up at 5pm (closing at 5.30pm) - the staff were helpful. However, the girl was putting the cakes away which dropped on to the floor. Instead of throwing them away she put them back into a large Tupperware box. Not very hygienic.Overall, nice location and drinks were okay. If we hadn’t have seen the cake saga we would have voted higher.

It's good, but always a long wait. The latte art is variable. I've had a very decorative cortado, but this one was a bit lacklustre. The excuse made was 'im no good at it, but so and so is.'I think I'd be taking pride in learning the skills if I worked as a barista, as at home, having got a pro coffee machine, I soon learned to make patterns for guests. Also, the milk was underheated today, which is rare here. And the almond bake was stale. It's usually good here.It only takes a couple of such events before I never return to a place, so we will see what happens.
