David Mellor Cafe in Derbyshire Dales

We just went in the shop and there was a cafe in there as well. Beautiful products but very expensive. There was a factory tour but that was scheduled for 3pm and it did say that owing to covid it wasn't going ahead at the moment. So unsure as to whether this is happening or not.

Would prefer museum pieces to be housed separately from cafe but is well worth a visit to see everyday street items and other design pieces. Book is great value at £13.60 and cafe does lovely tea & cake

A great little place a wonderful staff, shop, cafe and mini museum. Well worth a little trip especially to see so many common things like traffic lights! and where they came from! Cafe has a great terrace which is great in the sun. Shop has high quality kitchen and home goods

Nice place to visit in Hathersage in the Peak District. Has a working factory + gallery for cutlery, ceramics and kitchen utensils as well as a wonderful cafe serving great food. All this in a beautiful countryside setting.

Extremely pleasant and well run. Really nice food brought out in a timely manner. Limited indoor seating so prepare for a wait if a busy day but if its nice then good seating outdoors.

Design heaven! Wonderful display of designs by David Mellor, his extremely talented son and their design team. A shop full of irresistible items and a Cafe/Bistro serving delicious snacks and light meals. Always an afternoon to remember.

We had a lovely time picking out cutlery and knives in the showroom. Andrew was super knowledgeable and was a big help in choosing out a fresh set of knives. Looking forward to using them and adding to our new collection.

A well earned 5 stars here - Just such a great place to have a light meal, or good coffee and cake with a bit of history and posh kitchen retail thrown if should you wish to indulge.Staff are polite, knowledgeable and efficient, andplenty of parking when we were there. Well worth swinging by if Hathersage is its usually busy self.

Never been to this place before and have to say it exceeded our expectations. Great cafe with some history about the designer plus some really interesting and great kitchenware for sale.

Popped in as I'd driven past it many many times before. Only got as far as the shop and cafe but fascinating filled with beautiful things...and urban architecture and intriguing mix. Would like to go back for a factory tour.
