We arrived Saturday afternoon to a friendly welcome and a couple of well kept pints. Thoroughly enjoyed dinner later with plenty of choice and well cooked food.All the staff are friendly and welcoming as are the animals in the extensive menagerie at the rear of the pub.Eggs from their ducks for breakfast were a real treat.Thanks guys for a great weekend stay. We'll be back for sure.

Just stopped off for the night in our camper van on the way to the football in Chesterfield. Brilliant place, the kids loved the animals at the back, the food was great, the guinness was top notch and the staff were super friendly. Will definitely be back 👍

Attended for a 41st birthday where there was around 20 of us. Tim and the staff were amazing in planning this, sorting out food orders etc. Staff were friendly and the food was amazing. Had a great time and will certainly visit again, would highly recommend. Thanks again 👍🏻

Stayed as part of the Motorhome stopover Scheme. Stayed several times. Food is always excellent & such lovely, friendly & accommodating staff. Love their small holding. We will definitely be back soon. Thanks again all, it was a pleasure

Called in just for a quick drink on the way home. Looked at the new menu and couldn’t resist.!! Had the lighter bite, beer battered cod,chips ,mushy peas and tartare sauce.BEAUTIFUL. Pure white cod in crispy batter,Lovely chips and peas. Beautifully presented and piping hot. Can highly recommend the food and the welcoming staff. Very dog friendly too.!!! Thanks guys.x

Had a fantastic weekend away in our motorhome, we were made very welcome, 😀 it was Tim's birthday bash on Friday night which was amazing, live music and buffet. We ate in the pub every day and the food was lovely. Can't wait til we return.

We stayed two nights Weds & Thursday in campervan lovely view. Very friendly and welcoming staff food great and good value. What we call proper Village pub will definitely be back .

Called in on a Saturday lunchtime, we had 2 main courses and a couple of rounds of drinks for under £30. The meals were freshly prepared and very tasty. The pub is dog friendly, the staff made a fuss of our dog and gave him dog a bowl of fresh water and treats were on offer. The staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. Whilst we were there we chatted to some regulars with 2 old English sheepdogs about the area and where to walk the dogs, they were a lovely couple and really easy to talk to. Large car park, so easy parking. The pub has some good outdoor spaces including beer garden, children’s play area and a large covered frontage to sit and watch the world go by, we will be returning when the weather picks up.

Lovely welcome from friendly staff and locals. We stayed overnight in our motorhome after a good meal made from locally sourced produce (and of course a couple of drinks) all very reasonably priced and would definitely recommend. 10/10 👍
