Granby Cafe in Derbyshire Dales

Was here yesterday, Fabulous lunch, extra little touches. Fair prices. Lovely staff. Great coffee. Away from the crowds. Recommend 100%.

Excellent All Day Breakfast.

Having walked around Bakewell, we chanced upon a small shopping arcade that had small local businesses plying their trade. As we progressed through the arcade we came across the cafe. Though small I.e. 4 tables, its' staff exuded warmth and friendliness. The food was fairly priced and tasty, the coffee was better than anything you would get from the national coffee shops. The menu offered a range of all day breakfasts with vegetarian options. Also meals with the Derbyshire oatcake. To finish off there were a range of cakes. With being in Bakewell, we plumped for the Bakewell pudding ( only available in Bakewell) and the Bakewell tart. The former comes with a choice of custard, cream or ice cream. Definitely has return value!

Food itself was okay but on cold plates, no ice with our glass for the orange juice and no atmosphere (no radio on just silence) plus the breakfast didn't come with a piece of toast, that was extra, so for 2 breakfast's (one of which was a veggie) and 1 bottle of juice - £16.

What a gem, lovely home made food and the staff made us very welcome

Nice friendly staff, good breakfast. Great value. Just what i needed after walking from Chatsworth to Bakewell.

So glad my partner and I found this little gem of a cafe today. It was really clean & not too busy surprisingly. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, the food was fresh and delicious. My partner's breakfast was 'excellent' and my toastie and cappuccino were too. Will definitely be returning one day!
