Amazing place beautiful surroundings. Didnt eat at the cafe just a drink. But the food coming out for other looked amazing. Walked down the gorge from Padley. We'll worth it.

Great food and great value for money. We stopped in for breakfast before a walk and was pleasantly surprised at how reasonably priced the food was. Would definitely recommend.

Great little cafe with ample seating inside and out, with an open fire for warmth. An extensive menu of sandwiches and hot food.My wife and I can highly recommend the caramel brownies and the table next to us had chip butties the size of your head. While I can't say how good the butties were, for just over £3 you get your money's worth in volume.Marked to 4 stars purely as it's cash only, so we ended up not getting as much to eat as we had planned. Though it does provide an excellent reason to go back!

Would have been 5 stars but they only serve instant coffee. Walked from Hathersage for late lunch. The food was really good but would have liked a nice coffee to finish off. Food was well priced great quality and big servings.

We had breakfast this morning at the cafe. Theres no refinement just a good plate of breakfast food freshly cooked and hot. The plate consisted of 3 rashers bacon 2 sausages fried bread beans tomatoes and an egg slice of toast and a cup of tea excellent value for £6.75. Smiley face at the counter to greet you. Plain simple and good this is the place.

It's just like a step back in time and so charming and very welcoming.

First time visit, coffee and Sausage and egg sandwich(3 whole sausages and 2 fried eggs) plus a slice of carrot cake of course. Lots of folk there but not a long wait for food.

We had a lovely few hours here. Access to Padley Gorge and a woodland /Riverside walk just a little further down the path. We enjoyed sitting outside the cafe after a short walk along the river. Food was great and very reasonably priced and the trains coming through entertained our 8 year old so much, he said it was his favourite part of our trip! Its cash only which wasn't a problem, great chips and sandwiches, would definitely recommend!
