Walked up to Monsal Head and the views were amazing, got a cuppa and cafe and sat in the shade, watched the world go by for 10 minutes. Cake was amazing

Delicious cream tea! The best scones I've had in a long while. Super-quick service too.

The owner was incredibly friendly, the service first rate and to top it all the best Bakewell tart we've ever had. Opened early when he saw us waiting, all this and with views to die for. Well worth a visit, not disappointed and we travelled from Lincoln.

Incredibly rudeStopped for tea/coffee/cake, new waitress was very nice, no complaints about food and drinks, but when we asked to use the toilets, were told to walk up the road and refused access by I assume the owner - incredibly rude, and more concerned with making money on ice-cream van than customer service. Recommend you do not support them.

Enjoyable experience at the wonderfully located Hobbs cafe. Super cottage very tastefully decorated. Good tea and scones/ scones, with great ambience and friendly owners/staff. Absolutely love their resident Spaniel ... what an absolute sweety! Small craft shop with lots of nice cards and a small selection of gifts.

Lovely food in a stunning location . The service was friendly and quick . The food was fresh and well cooked although the portions a little small . A star taken off as the stuffed animal in the window was a freaky touch !!

A cuppa with a view! Quite pricey, expect to pay touristy prices. They don't give empty cups with a cup of tea which is a little strange but apparently many places do that nowadays. Closing times are not always the same. Best to get there before 3pm if you don't want to miss it.

Perfect place for rest and refuelling after @Monsal Head walk/hiking/biking, great coffee and homemade cakes, locally sourced lunch/dinner meals. Two car parks (don't forget loose change as parkomats coins only, 1.50£/hour).Ideal spot for people with restricted moving as straight from car you can spend hours watching valley bellow.Been here many times and will back as never get bored. And just short drive to Bakewell 👍

Hobb's cafe overlooksa wonderful panorama and has quite a history of providing refreshment at Monsal Head - now primarily to cyclists and walkers on the Monsal Trail ( up to 8.5 miles between Bakewell and Wye Dale) and a number of other routes. It previously served to house those overseeing the building of the railway on that route, then an estate gamekeeper lived there. It now provides home made lunches and teas including oatcake and quiche with great filling flavours. It also hosts a small art and craft gift shop with a wide range of cards, some local maps / souvenirs and a range of good quality gifts. A lovely place to visit, even if you're not on one of the many footpaths and bridleways that can lead there.

The cafe was very nice inside. We stopped here en route back to Ashford-in-the-Water and after walked down to the Headstone Viaduct and Tunnel.I had a Middle Eastern style dish for lunch. It was flatbread with Feta Cheese, Vegetables and Mint Yoghurt. As it was a hot day, the food was just right.I would recommend this place to stop at when you are on a walk in the Peak District. It does nice coffee as well!
