Lovely breakfast with delicious bacon and Nigel's sausages. Comes with toast and soft butter. Cappuccino was hot and creamy. Excellent service. Busy on a Saturday morning after parkrun, but swift service.

We were in much need of a healthy breakfast so after searching few places in town we saw and liked the Jack Rabbits so we stopped here. Delighted with our Huevos Rancheros (good healthy breakfast/brunch option) and Eggs Royale. The coffee was good too. It was not busy so service was quick. Only slight dissapointment is the price which we think is a bit too high.

We came in for an iced coffee and a pot of tea. The coffee and tea were very nice. This café only accepts card payment and it is table service only. Their menus are read by scanning a QR code on the table. The café also seems environmentally conscious, especially using paper straws. There is also free water. The toilet was clean. There was both a regular toilet and a disabled access toilet. The café was a nice place to sit in as the large windows on the front let in a lot of light. The prices are a bit expensive, but I would say that they are worth it.

Absolutely lovely. Had the same lunch 2 days in a row (roast beef bap and good for you drink) and took DIL second day who also loved it. Nice owner, ethic and staff. Great location. Can't understand the moaners on here!

Over priced and underwhelming! I ordered a Caesar salad, (which, incidentally, was spelled incorrectly on the menu), which was priced at ÂŁ8.50. I chose to add 'free range chicken' for a further ÂŁ4.25, but was told they had no chicken, but I could have turkey, to which I agreed. When it arrived, there was a soft poached egg sitting on top of the cold turkey, which was somewhat disconcerting as eggs only feature in a Caesar salad as a component of the dressing! They removed it for me and whilst the remaining dish was quite edible, underneath the three thin slices of turkey breast were 4 whole lettuce leaves, possibly half a slice of baked white bread in small pieces - definitely not what you could really call croutons, and two whole anchovies. There was no parmesan, but a very small sprinkling of very finely grated cheddar. ÂŁ12.75 seems like daylight robbery! I realised then why we had to pay up front - as I certainly wouldn't have paid that amount afterwards!

Sorry, I am very rarely a complainer, but here goes. Place looks lovely, came in and spoke to a member of staff who asked me to sit and they would come over. After 20 mins plus, still no one. Had to shout to attract staff attention as they were GOOD at avoiding eye contact. Then told I should order at the counter. Ordered a breakfast, which is quite pricey at 12.50 but promised quality components, which they were. Its shame that the sausages were barely brown and stone cold, bacon was tough, dry and stone cold, grilled tomato was ICE cold in the middle, and the mushroom, despite normally being a slimy thing was like warm and dry as cardboard. I like my food and NEVER leave much, but in this case half the meal was left uneaten. As I write, STILL waiting for someone to come to the table so I can advise them of my issues, but I give up. Will have to grab someone!! Metaphorically I add quickly. What a shame.

Came for brunch and was lovely! The cafe itself was clean and really lovely decor and interesting things written on the chalkboards. Staff were very inviting and friendly. Amazing Hot Chocolate, normally only have one, but had to have a 2nd! We had the full english breakfast. My other half loved the bread - the food overall was fresh not greasy and felt really satisfied after. Definitely recommend.

Has all the charm but no substance. We ordered the full breakfast @ ÂŁ11.95 a plate. Met by 1x sausage cut in half, length wise, to be made look more substantial. Leaving me feel somewhat cheated. 1 slice of pre -cooked/reheated hard bacon. And a mear 1x small slice of sour dough toasted bread (cannot fault the taste, just the quantity/ vs price) Absolutely cannot fault the black pudding. It really is amazing! 1x full tomato, sadly flash shown a griddle, to leave all the charged marks, yet still solid. Fried egg... I'd have been mortified if it was anything less. 'Signature baked beans' really let it down for me. Tepid in temperature. Great concept, just lacked the heat to make it taste worthy.A really disappointing experience. Sadly.

You get up sell questions when you are ordering your food. After ordering the Avocado salsa on seeded toast I was asked if I wanted a poached egg as an extra. I said yes but it did not arrive with the meal. I questioned this when the food arrived but no one came back to me. Once I ate the meal and the plate was taken I mentioned again to someone else but no one came back to me with an apology or refund. Nice setting. Food was edible but the bread wasn’t very fresh. Very disappointing service for the price. No one checked the meal was all okay. Not friendly.

Our Sunday breakfast at Jack Rabbits in Ashbourne was very nice. My daughter loved her pancakes and the breakfast roll with bacon, sausage and fried egg was great too. Nice interior decor. Prices maybe a little above average but still worth it.
