Called Easter Sunday for lunch hoping we could have a meal and we were able to order our food and enjoy eating it outside in the warm sunshine. Starter and main course were excellent and very enjoyable.

Omg. Just been to this place earlier and thought I would look at previous reviews prior to leaving mine. I don’t think Jamie ate at the same place we did. From start to finish, we were made to feel welcome. The drinks were great at a low price and high quality. And the food was awesome. I think the young lady who cooked was called Vicky. I had the slow cooked beef and my wife had the hunters chicken. Really really good food. And as a trained chef I can categorically say it wasn’t microwaved. Anyway. Rant over. I can only presume the previous reviewer must have been somewhere else. We had a lovely meal and great service and will be returning for sure. Thank you Jug and glass.

Popped in with a small group of friends hoping to get food and a drink, not a warm welcome! Told no tables available and if we wanted a drink to all congregate over by a small table. I found the landlady and barman extremely rude… would never go again!

Not a cozy country pub to enjoy a warm evening BUT if you want a place to stay and eat to use as a base this would be 5 stars. It's totally geared up for B&B and dedicated staff look after you exceptionally well. The owners are obviously very business like and manage the breakfast very well with everyone coming in at once. The evening meals are equally well managed and always swift to appear...and just as swift to disappear because they're fabulously tasty! My wife and I go everywhere and she never leaves anything but I got extra helpings both nights because they were so generous.Lovely people that maybe need to take some time out together to unwind and relax as the stress levels are apparent 😶

Very nice Inn , lovely & cosy. Didnt have any food as just needed a brew. But must be really nice food as all the tables had been reserved for different parties.Phone was busy while we were there for bookings.

Just returned from a two night stay at the Jug and Glass Inn. Clean, comfortable and warm rooms. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts Vicky and Daryl. Excellent home cooked food and a cosy bar. Would highly recommend.

·

Great food at a reasonable price served in a warm cosy pub. Dog friendly although the non-dog lovers amongst you will be pleased to hear that dogs are restricted to the bar area. This place deserves to be busier.

Nice rural location. Clean rooms. Dogs friendly. Open fire and cosy bar area. We had a nice home made meal and wonderful breakfast. Big thank you for the chef, who made our stay even more enjoyable. Only a few minutes drive from Buxton.
