Matlock Fish Bar in Derbyshire Dales

I met my family here last week, all the staff were lovely, the food was absolutely great, freshly cooked and really hot, when it was brought to the table. Will definitely be back 👍👍

Over priced for the meal - also paid 8 quid for meal accidentally forget to pay for drink, after processing order asked for a drink and told there was a £5 minimum order, can you believe, day light robbery, I’d just paid £8. Bad customer service no idea how to treat customers, be going elsewhere next time. Food was not worth the money to top it off.

Lovely fish and chips. Clean table and friendly staff. Good value for money and range. I had fish, chips and peas.

Fantastic fish and chips! I had the Yorkshire fish cake-delicious crispy batter. The chips were homemade, golden, hot and delicious. The mushy peas were tasty. My husband had small fish, chips, peas and curry sauce and ate the lot-good sized portion and good value for money. Our server Sky was lovely-would highly recommend

What can I say, 6 of us for lunch absolutely fantastic food, service and value.One of our party then fell I’ll in the restaurant (long term illness) and needed an ambulance. The team there are fantastic and really shone (especially as they had an upsetting morning before this)Fab food and will deffo return

They have a one way layout from the entrance so the service is efficient. Staff is friendly when taking orders.Our fish was over cooked & dry so I went back to explain to the staff and they happily accepted the comments and made a new one with better quality.Conveniently located just opposite the park and center.

Great tasting haddock,chips and mushy peas. All the staff very welcoming and Great service too.Great food and very clean inside. Well done.

After a long day out we stopped by to pick up some fish and chips to eat in the lovely park opposite.The service was excellent and so friendly. Very good value and portion size. We had the small fish and chips and it was plenty. We were offered curry sauce as an alternative to peas which was really tasty!We were just saying what good value it was when the chap who served us found us in the park to say my card payment hadn't registered so I settled up again. I'm so glad he found us as I would have been upset if I hadn't paid for such a wonderful supper!

Called in at this fish and chip shop in Matlock and was so pleased I did. Probably the the best fish and chips I've ever had. Not too expensive and came with a good cuppa. The staff are great, helpful and friendly. A notice on the wall states that the business was established in 1930. Other food is available there but I cannot fault the fish and chips.
