We have really lovely food at a lunchtime. The seasonal vegetables were cooked to perfection. Sausages really tasty. Service great

Excellent food. Good service. But best of all the outside patio seating at the back, which made the birthday meal.

We stopped here for a meal on our way back to our cottage. The pub is a lovely welcoming place with a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. We all had a main course only and each of them were great, the trio os sausage and mash was amazing and both plates were left clean. There was also a cauliflower steak meal, which went down very well. I had Hadock and chips, which was really, nice just a little over cooked, the home made tartar sauce was to die for.All in all, a very nice meal and a great pub to enjoy it in. We would go back if we were passing again.

Making a group booking was very easy especially as I had to amend it and increase the numbers. The service was very good. The menu sufficiently varied for my party. The meal was very well presented and cooked. The atmosphere was quiet and pleasant.

Called in en route for refreshments. Left stunned that a pint of bitter and a large sauvignon blanc cost £16.36!!!! Way above the average as we travel around in our campervan. Decided not to eat. Will not be returning or recommending which is a shame as it was a lovely pub.

Great beerFriendly staff.Nice fire.Menu looked fantastic even though we did not eat there.Deserves its accolades.

Food was very nice, but not much food for the price in my opinion, it could do with an extra bowl of vegetables per 2 meals as the adults were all left hungry. The kids meals was a good portion. Took a while to get food as well but that was probably due to how busy the pub was. All staff very friendly and helpful. Dog friendly as well which is always a plus.

Good quality ales & food, though a little minty as pubs go....a pubs a pub a pub if you know what I mean. However, having said that, nice place, good staff, and the prices keep the chavs' away, or at least they don't have a second visit ...set about a 10 minute walk from the village & very nice shepherd huts set in the grounds....All in all good country pub with a touch of high end. Great to unwind with a local brew & traditional fayre....would highly recommend.GS

We come here as often as we can. We, and our dog are made so welcome. The rooms are comfortable, the food is wonderful and The Plough is set in glorious countryside.

3 course Xmas meal £30 pigeon starter; turkey main;capaccino cream brulee after. While the main was of good size the starter was a little small and the pudding very disappointing, served as it was in a standard catering coffee mug. It barely covered the bottom and at £6 it lacked presentation. When we complained about the portion size we were told others had also complained. Future servings we were assured would be bigger. A second cream brulee was brought to us at no extra cost. Overall taste 3 stars, presentation 2 stars, service 3 stars value 3 stars
