Promenade Fish Bar in Derbyshire Dales

Honestly the staffs attitude towards me was vile whe I needed help....... the food was average at the best .... I saw a member of staff outside smoking and moving rubbish off tables then straight back behind counter to serve customers that just turned up (was a very quite day ) without washing or sanitising there hands

It's our favourite spot to grab fish and chips with the kids. Just a stones throw away from beautiful walks to admire the scenery and history of Matlock.

Lovely flaky fish in a crispy batter that isn't too greasy. Chips were delicious. Both cooked fresh to order. Location is excellent too!

Great little fish and chip shop, we sat in for our meal, the service was excellent food was fresh and piping hot and a very generous portion for small fish and chips 🍟 😋 😊😊😊😊

Had fish and chips with mushy peas.All freshly cooked as the place had a slight que and staff were asking in advance if you wanted a fish before getting to the till.Small fish and chips +mushy peas £5.80.Will go back.

After being on a nice walk through matlock we stopped of here to grab some food, GREAT DECISION!POSSIBLY THE BEST FISH AND CHIP SHOP I'VE BEEN TO. The food was spot on and the fish is great, also service with a smile always helps.Seating was provided both inside and outside and you don't feel like everyone is cramped ontop of each other.If you are looking for a great quality and time efficient place to eat I'd fully recommend the promenade fish bar 🙏

THE BEST FISH AND CHIPS IN MATLOCK BATH!!!We’ve been coming here for years, great price, great service and the best tasting fish and chips in Matlock Bath.They’ll even cook me the Fish and Chip special without batter which is a massive bonus for me.Well worth a visit!
