Riverside Traditional Fish&Chips in Derbyshire Dales

Absolutely fantastic Fish and Chips. Our Local for years now. We have a Bakewell event every year and this is the local for all friends. The service, the food, the portion and the prices are faultless. Easily accessible - next door to coop and opposite public toilets and the public car park. Thee perfect location. Thank you for another Riverside experience. 🐠 🍟

BEWARE!!! This place is a scam, ran by rude patronising staff who over charge.Chips, mushy peas and fish cake supposed to cost £5.75 instead was charged £7.50 when we argued with the staff he refused he was wrong despite his maths being horrific.AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. The food wasn’t great either

Really nice food. Staff were very friendly, they even offered some water for my dog.

Don’t bother! Got the order home and 3 items were missing! Yes THREE items! So we paid for food not received. Being honest the fish was good but chips were poor. Can’t comment on the other 3 items as they never supplied them. Tried to phone them about it but they answered and immediately hung up, twice. We are local but will never go there again

Very pale batter which wasn't cooked through and was raw in the middle. Fish was watery and appeared undercooked. Chips bland and dry. Not impressed for the price.

Fish was lovely but the size off a small potion of chips was taking the p iss, for £1.95

According to information in the shop prices went up due to price increase of peas, oil, flour etc. That’s fair but when you put price up cause peas more expensive it would be good to actually have peas in mushy peas not broad beans. Cod was small, fried in lots of batter. I cannot recommend this place as too expensive for what you get.

Awful food (e.g. congealed lumps of beans, very bland mushy peas) and a sulky female server who did not communicate and rolled her eyes when you dare to ask for food wrapped. Training in customer service and improvement of food quality needed.

Visited today for Easter lunch. Really tasty fish and chips, good efficient service, clean, friendly. Spot on!

Extremely disappointed with our fish and chips today. Chips were most definitely reheats and at £8.00 a go… shameful
