Excellent food and helpful, friendly staff. Loved the decor - the owner took time out to tell us about the pieces. Dog friendly. Would visit again!

We stopped here to meet as a half way point with friends. Dog friendly and baby friendly! The staff were so lovely and accommodating. The food was fantastic and the place was warm and inviting. Would definitely return if we are back in the areab

Very disappointed with the quality of food. Ordered the beef at £14.50. It came with a side of 3 lots of frozen vegetables, a frozen Yorkshire pudding, a huge frozen roast potato and some bland potatoes. Even the beef was not freshly carved. There was not one fresh, home cooked item on the plate (pasta bowl). Very poor for the price and the fact nobody could be bothered to prepare anything. I stand by my judgement despite the response that the food was of poor quality and DID NOT appear to be fresh vegetables. I do know the difference. The fact the place was not very busy was testament to this

booked a table for 4 on 1:30pm tuesday. the place was almost empty, only three tables were occupied that's including us. food were delicious. staffs were very friendly.

Proper countryside pub, warm welcome, log fire and fantastic food from pub favourites to local produce like partridge.

What a GREAT pub, highly recommended!! Very comfortable and friendly...a proper pub. We had light bites for lunch which were excellent...nice and hot and very obviously fresh home cooked. If you get the chance to visit here...go out of your way to do it!

Nice pub with good food and drinks. There happened to be a brass band playing when we were there which was nice and something a bit different.

Having been in the area on my ocassions, I had never visited the pub until recently.The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. We were spoilt for choice on the food. The food was very tasty and well priced. 4 real ales on of which The Unicorn was recommended and enjoyed.Dog friendly.Would definitely visit again.
