The Duke of York in Derbyshire Dales

A nice little pub tucked away out in the Peak District close to Buxton. We called in for a meal reasonable priced limited menu due to being mothers day but very very niceClean welcoming and a refreshing pint.They also have a camp site adult only to the rear on the public house

Stayed 2 nights! Fantastic! Great location for walkers and cyclists alike . We ate both nights in the pub . Food was of excellent quality l. Pub itself is really homely - 2 roaring fires and really friendly and accommodating staff . The site has a clean, and modern toilet/ shower block .. with hot showers.. just what we needed after a day on the bikes. I hesitation recommending this site and we will be back .

Stayed on the campsite for two nights, just before Valentines day. Pub serves 4 good cask ales, has a wide variety of gins. Food is good and the servings are plentiful. Loved the campsite, cosy with good clean facilities. Will revisit

What a delightful place the Duke of York is. We stayed for a couple of nights late Dec 21. Great views and walks in this peaceful spot. Toilets and site were kept to a high standard. Food was brilliant a good hearty size that even my husband struggled to finish. Lovely atmosphere and very dog friendly. We will be returning.
