Next to ponds which are currently full of tadpoles. This is a lovely pub with great ale and a friendly vibe. They have a lot of music nights and open mics too, which is fun. They do make the effort to offer vegan food on the menu too, which I appreciate, although the two times I've eaten here the food was very bland. (Solidified mash, solid sausages etc.) I'm sure they'll improve on that front in the busier season.

Just spent a week at Matlock Bath and used the Fishpond pub most days over that week. We all had different meals and no complaints with any of them. Our last meal there was Sunday carvery which they started doing again from today, would recommend it.

Just a quick visit to get out of the rain, But found a lovely pub, with friendly staff and a decent pint of Neck Oil, Will visit again for a meal next time

Was looking forward to a hot meal in front of the log burner.we were told that there were no hot meals, due to kitchen refit. We went for the ploughman's pie from the bar meals.Although the pie was tasty it was tiny and not even a side garnish served with it. Was very poor value.

Dined in. Pie of the day was lovely, plenty of filling. Friends were very happy with their meals, vegetarian lasagne and burger meal. Food is home cooked. Very comfortable and clean. Staff friendly. Nice vibe for lunch time.

It was a Tuesday dinner. The food was excellent.we both had the Halloumi with a lovely salad and very nice rustic chips and onion rings .🍲🥘🍟Its been a while since it was decorated and could do with a bit of a face lift to be honest, but the staff were very friendly and toilets were clean .I can recommend the weekend band nights, good atmosphere!.👍

Really terrible food, pizza not cooked properly, chips that tasted like they had been reheated many times, dry chicken, pepper corn sauce tasted like they had ran out of cream and used toffee ice cream. Good onion rings though. Would never recommend, numerous plates were left like ours, most food left

Very quiet site more aimed at couples or family's looking to get away from an haven style park. Picnic area play area for kids short drive to matlock Bath.the shop sells no alcohol cigarettes etc only very basic supplys but lovely views I only come when I know iam getting good weather

Great seating area at the back of the pub. A great selection of beers and cider. The burgers we had were tasty and chips and onion rings were crispy. Great staff and great place.

The staff and atmosphere was lovely. But the vegetarian and vegan food my partner and I had was disgusting. Neither of us finished our meals. Probably fine for meat eaters but wouldn't advise for vegetarians. My partner had the halloumi burger which looks amazing but had a tiny bit of halloumi and fell apart in his hands. My vegetable bake was just veg on cheese and that's all it tasted of. No seasoning or anything.
