I would give 0 starts if I could! Why run a business when you can’t take criticism? After looking at your reply’s on this thread to others comments there is no point explaining just how bad my stay was.I don’t want the hosts jumping down my neck! Learn how to deal with situations correctly and how about professional? and do not get defensive! There is always room for improvement, after seeing how dirty you played it on 4 in a bed you should not be running a business like this! Quiet embarrassing actually. Not everything Will be to everyone’s taste. Take the bad comments and move on :) have a good day and don’t reply back to me Thankyou!

We had a lovely last minute stay at the weekend after our plans to stay with family were cancelled due to the dreaded covid reaching their home! Our room was lovely with an excellent tea tray. We were blown away by our dinner and had such excellent service throughout. Unfortunately our King bed had a mattress which we found very uncomfortable but to be honest, everything else was so good that it didn't have the impact it would have had normally and we still thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We plan to stop again if our family don't mind us ditching them for a night here but would ask for a different room

It was an absolutely superb pub in a historic setting. The interior is tastefully decorated.Professional and friendly staff.Anyone new to this are should WIS it the lake 2 minutes from this pub, a giant mill wheel only a minute away from this pub and more historic irrigation mill site about 4 to 5 minutes from herePlenty of parking space and close to cafes and shops

Nice atmosphere, dog friendly, comfortable and clean. Staff friendly, although with the number of staff on duty would have made table service a positive; and would have made me give a 5 star rating - just a thought? 😊

This is a lovely Hotel, the staff are so helpful and friendly. The room was clean and tidy and the bed really comfortable. Dinner was really enjoyable the starters and the wood fired pizza were excellent. A great selection of beers, wines and spirits. A comfortable lounge as well to sit and enjoy an after dinner drink. The breakfast was substantial and I would recommend the porridge as it was delicious. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

3 night stay. Nice ambience in the hotel, the room was very comfortable and all the staff were friendly, courteous and attentive. Traffic noise if you had the window open but that was the location and your choice to open it!The food was amazing, stunningly tasty and top class presentation, the best I’ve had anywhere, I can’t praise the chef enough and no problem if you wanted something slightly different from the menu. Lots of special little touches everywhere, like freshly squeezed proper orange juice, home smoked salmon, chocolates and crisps in your room etc etc.Just couldn’t understand why the television was always on when we got back to the room!!!!!

Staff were all so friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble. We stayed 3 nights in a beautiful room with our dogs. Breakfast was amazing. Perfect place for exploring this beautiful part of the country. Thank you to all at the Greyhound you made our time away perfect

Superb food. Menu limited to just a few dishes which are exceptionally well done, using fresh ingredients. Their scallops served on a bed of shredded celeriac with a mildly curried sauce, was one of the best starters I had had in a long time, their venison loin steak, served on cabbage with roasted shallots and 'al dente' carrots was gorgeous, puddings too are excellent. Close to Michelin quality. , around 40-50 pounds a head with drinks, well worth it.
