We stopped for tea and a slice of Bakewell tart (beautiful). It was lovely and the lady that looked after us was lovely as well. Hopefully go again when in the area.

Absolutely perfect, from the host Anna to the view and peacefulness it’s probably one of the nicest places we have been. Will be coming back here no doubt.

Just had a 4 night stay at the Hollow, absolutely super it felt like visiting friends rather than a b&b. Nothing too much trouble for Anna and Ian, such lovely people. So comfortable and cosy, I so enjoyed my fresh boiled eggs in the morning from Ian's chickens. I had 2 meals at the pub across the road and 2 meals that Anna had cooked freshly made, scrummy! Annas attention to detail was throughout the house.

Anna and Ian are very good hosts at this lovely B&B with a great pub 1min away. Monsal trail is very close. Comfortable bed. And lots of thoughtful touches, and a piece of cake😋.

The Hollow is an absolutely delightful Bed & Breakfast and Anna & Ian are truly wonderful, friendly & welcoming hosts. There was a selection of homemade cake available from the moment we arrived which was utterly scrumdidlyumptious & you were free to help yourself throughout your stay.We stayed in The Hollow Room One which was a huge room in itself with an incredibly large ensuite and an absolutely gigantic bed, with views of the garden and fields beyond. Everything had been thought through from the kettle, with a selection of teas, coffees & drinking chocolate, a little fridge with fresh milk & bottled water, dressing gowns & slippers & even a shower cap & rubber duck for the bath, to name but a few items. On the landing there was also an additional coffee machine with a selection of coffee pods where you could help yourself.Breakfast was an absolute feast and utterly delicious with a lovely variety of things to choose from including fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurt, eggs from their own chickens, The Full Hollow with homemade Derbyshire oatcakes, black pudding, sausage, bacon mushrooms, beans, tomatoes, egg & toast on the side & if you still had room, toast with a selection of homemade jam, marmalade or lemon curd along with tea or coffee of your choice & fruit juice. After breakfast we had some friends visit who were originally from Little Longstone & had arranged our stay at The Hollow & we had coffee in the lovely lounge area before spending the day in the Derbyshire Dales. We had an absolutely fantastic stay at The Hollow and would definitely recommend it and hope to visit again.

A fabulous bed and breakfast. The room and en suite are clean, comfortable and very large. The bed is not only huge, it is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The room was furnished with everything you could want including a fridge, dressing gowns and slippers. Even a torch and bottle opener. Lovely views of the countryside as well.Anna and Ian were warm and welcoming. Homemade cakes on arrival, which we enjoyed eating whilst sat at one of the garden tables. Breakfast was delicious with a good selection on the menu.Would thoroughly recommend this B&B and wouldn’t hesitate staying here again .

What a little gem of a place. It's like staying at a friend's house rather than being paying guests. Anna and Ian are charming helpful hosts and nothing is too much trouble. The room was very spacious with a very comfortable super king size bed. Plenty of hanging space and drawers. Very clean. En suite is large with lovely fluffy towels. Lots of hot water and a fab shower. Lots of little essentials, such as a hairdryer, torch, corkscrew, iron and board, a place for walking boots/shoes. Coffee/tea making facilities etc.The view over the garden is just stunning, with lots of flowers and wildlife. Chairs and tables with umbrellas are a lovely addition if you want to sit outside and take it all in.Now to the breakfast... amazing! Beautiful home made bread jams and marmalade. An extensive selection of full English, porridge, pancakes, smoked salmon, smoked haddock etc and eggs from their own chickens. Will be returning with friends soon. The best b&b we have stayed in, and we have been to many over the years. Thanks to Anna and Ian for making our stay perfect x

This is an exceptional B&B, all tribute to Anna and Ian's dedication and hard work. Although this has to be a business, it is built with love and a genuine understanding of their guests' requirements. The level of detail throughout shows great imagination and everything you could possibly want has been provided for - and then some! Make this your only choice of B&B if you are planning to stay in the area.
