The Okeover Arms in Derbyshire Dales

Mixed review unfortunately, the food was lovely, nice menu, good portions. The bar was well stocked with a great range of gin and rum (which was a pleasant surprise)The room was a good size and well presented, we had a double bed and 2 singles in a separate annexed room for the kids.My wife and the kids slept well, but the bed was far too soft for myself and I was unable to sleep and arose full of aches.The shower was hot, too hot, and didn't respond to any attempt to cool it down and so we couldn't let the kids get showered.Breakfast again was good, but no member of staff to be found as we went to check out.

Such a gem! Came as its free to park in the van overnight (no electric hookup) if buying drinks. Such a beautiful setting not far from the ring road. V friendly staff. I ordered a cheese board for £6 - extremely generous portion with 4 cheeses, fuckloads of crackers and SEVEN butters. Currently playing “open your heart” by madonna. Geese pen. Disney murals in the toilets. Really highly recommend :)

If you want a pub that has very friendly staff. A specials board that has first class well cooked food. Real ale that is served correctly. Then this is a place for you.If you have a motor home they allow you to stay the night on the large car park. (Ring ahead)Just wish we lived closer it would become our local.Thanks to everyone who made our stay enjoyable.

Good food and drink.We turned up with no reservation but they found us a table and and allowed our guide dog puppy in the bar.Friendly staff and although they made an error with our order quickly and efficiently put it right.Glad we went!

Very nice staff, great food and good portion sizes. Good selection of beers, ample car parking.The pub is in a small village and seems to be well supported by the locals, which is good.

A lovely welcoming pub , a run of the mill menu was available plus Sunday carvery which looked and smelt divine.. seating outside aswell as in ...and plenty of car parking spaces . Would certainly recommend to friends . .

What an amazing little gem. Nothing to much trouble. Rooms good so dog friendly. Food to die for so quiet and just all round lovely if your looking for a good base to explore this is the place. Its a dog walkers dream. As for the breakfast 10 out of 10

Excellent country pub in a lovely location. Beer and food prepared to a very good standard. Helpful and friendly staff, dog friendly.. Very clean, COVID safe with friendly guidance and 1 way system around the pub. Will visit again.
