A really great find, lovely staff and brilliant simple but flavourful food.Great selection of both local and beers from further afield on tap. Rarely find a place that serves blue moon and schoffenhofer on tap.We were even allowed to park up our camper for the night in the carpark. Highly recommend.

The pub would be more suited to East London, with its minimalist menu and random jungle sounds playing in the toilets. I appreciated the gluten free beer on tap and the burgers were great. Cajun chips were too spicy for everyone who ordered them, drinks were a bit overpriced but the chef and bar staff were very helpful with our food intolerances.

We were visiting the area on holiday and our AirBnB host recommended this pub. We decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed! The atmosphere was very chilled but the staff were super friendly and informative. The menu is simple but done so well, we got a Halloumi burger & beef burger and they were absolutely amazing, one of the best burgers we've had (not kidding!). The chips were also really nice and we recommend getting the Cajun seasoning. It was all well priced. We will return next time we holiday that way!

We really enjoyed the food, and the two guys working were really friendly, polite and helpful.

Lovely fresh food! Such a relief to see good quality salad bowls in the menu and actual fresh veg for kids after a lot of fried stuff in pubs. Friendly, fast service and great that it was open for food on a Sunday evening without having to book.

Excellent pub, we dropped in for some food and drinks after walking around dovedale with the dogs.Love the menu, plenty to choose from. Amazing setting, we sat outside in a lovely courtyard, lots of seating available, loads of other dogs too.We ordered food easily and it quickly arrived, no complaints about the food, would be good if the waitresses had offered to bring some accompaniments tho, had to leave my food to go get it all.The food was awesome, very well put together, excellent flavours and great presentation.Loved it here, highly recommended.

Excellent selection of beers, very cosy interior with a log fire, very clean, good food and service. Dog friendly. Even a trip to a toilet will leave you with a smile (sound of birds plus plants).

We thought this out of the way little restaurant/pub was perfect, great food, beautifully designed!!!!But I dropped one star because we were staying down the road and got ours as a takeaway, we knew it would take a while but after we got back, we realised they forgot one of our burgers... We really weren't too impressed at that.

Brilliant pub to hole yourself in after a hike in the Peak District. I personally recommend the bacon sandwich and avocado salad (mmmm, see pic). It's cosy inside, atmosphere is really nice, and a medieval feel to it. Only downside is the front entrance door which slams so hard when it's windy, it's annoying. If there's seats outside, sit outside.

A lovely place, very cosy in the winter with lovely Christmas decorations but looks like it would be fab in the summer too with a big outdoor terrace. Beer was great, love the pint glasses. Menu is simple but the burgers were really tasty and the courgette fries novel and tasty too.
