The Old Smithy Tearooms in Derbyshire Dales

Great little cafe that welcomes bikers, cyclists and walkers. I'd imagine car occupants are equally made to feel at home! Lovely mugs of tea/bean to cut coffee of all styles and great bacon cobs. They also do very nice ice creams and have an excellent food menu. Well worth a visit and situated in a very pretty Derbyshire village. What's not to like?!!

Excellent little café in beautiful countryside with good walks in the locality. Well worth the visit.With it's own off road layby full of luscious motorcycles, you can savour your food as you salivate over the bikes!Buy a bap and bring a napkin for your drool...

Lovely staff. Enjoyed my beans on toast! Had wholemeal bread, which was soggy rather than toasty, but nice hot beans and a generous portion. Nice strong tea to go with it

Genuinely disappointed I'm gonna have to leave this place to go home. Is it worth the three hour round trip just for breakfast and a hot chocolate? Honestly, I think it is.

Lovely place, polite and efficient staff and great food. Good coffee stop for motorcyclists and hikers alike. ☺

Was out for a ride and spotted a bunch of bikes parked outside so decided to stop and see what was happening, glad I did as the cooked breakfast was delicious, the place was really nice and the staff were incredibly friendly. I'll be heading this way whenever I get chance and hopefully will get to make it a regular stop when the weather is nice and the bike works!

Just good decent food for a sensible price with friendly efficient service. There outdoor seating on the green and indoor with facilities. You will end up passing by here along with all the other walkers in the area as well as lots bikers. The oatcake is like a whole meal pancake.
