The Riva Bar & Restaurant in Derbyshire Dales

We had my husband's birthday lunch here. Gone for Cecil's lounge. The room is beautiful and the service is excellent! Not to mention food is also fabulous! We will definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family and would be returning soon.Well done guys!

Enjoyed a special and memorable meal here. Lovely food, friendly and efficient service, and wonderful atmosphere. Will definitely return soon and recommend to others looking for a nice place to go for food and drinks in Hale or Altrincham.

Food was amazing. Staff were really kind. Sunday Roast was absolutely brilliant. Lovely Succulent chicken, potatoes were crispy, vegetables were soft and full of flavour and gravy was hot and delicious. This restaurant does allow dogs, inside and out, which is great.Please come here as you will have a great time!

First class service - First class meal - First class atmosphere. I popped in (on a weekday) for lunch. I will be returning on a regular basis. I opted for the steak pie - splendid quantity and quality. There is an attractive bar area serving draught beers - including draught Guinness. The restaurant attracts a wide ranging clientele - ladies do lunch, local business people and the local gentry - who think that dining there is quite elementary! All visitors get a warm welcome from truly professional and hard working staff. Excellent value. Be warned - once you have visited - you will be returning again and again.

We would highly recommend Riva Hale, I have eaten a few times here now and the food has always been amazing. The staff have always been very welcoming and always service with a smile. You receive a lovely warm welcome.I just loved the atmosphere and the beautiful deco making the full dining experience very pleasant.The Sunday roast was the best I have ever had, the lamb was cooked to perfection.I can't wait to return- Thanks again!Show less

Great service, lovely atmosphere and the best vegetarian Sunday roast around. We love the portobello stuffed mushroom with all the trimmings. Great job guys. Please don’t take this off the menu!

What a night, considering no chiefs, Simon on fire with the sharing boards. The pocket rocket Zo Unsworth on vocals. Whole place rockin. Just like it used to be. Thank goodness for the owners of Riva to stand by for Hale we need to show the love back, thank you guys. Special mention to Ella for the dance 🤣

The food surpassed our expectations and the staff were helpful and attentive. The seafood platter was the standout dish for us - definitely worth a visit. Lovely atmosphere too.
