First the good: Lovely, clean and very well appointed ensuite room. Excellent service. Now the not so good: Small car park over the road. First come, first served. Now the poor: The food. It looks good, but it's not great and it's very pricey. Personally, I'd go out and find a good pub. You'll get better food at a better price.

This hotel is well situated, however limited parking in a small car park. The room we stayed in (103) is small but lovely. Definitely on the warm side! Unable to open windows due to traffic noise. The staff were all lovely and work very hard. We were disappointed with the evening meal in the hotel, the starters weren’t good, however the breakfasts were amazing. Overall we enjoyed our stay

Lovely Hotel. Brilliant central location. Excellent Staff. Fabulous food.Car parking is extremely restricted and must be seriously considered before booking the Hotel. The room was compact but perfectly and sympathetically furnished. The bed mattress and pillows were in severe need of an upgrade to the quality acceptable to the discernable traveller in 2022. They were unbelievably antiquated and prevented a decent night's sleep.

Excellent My wife and I stayed for valentines weekend. The rooms, the food and service is brilliant. Couple of staff need more training but that didn’t affect our stay. Breakfast surprised us as they offered full vegan English (well done guys). See you soon

Stayed the night last Friday, family were visiting from down South, stopped in a beautiful room in the Courtyard section of the Hotel, fabulous King size bed ensuite bathroom with a bath. Had drinks andcocktails in the bar . Didn't eat in hotel that night but breakfast the following morning was perfect. Would highly recommend and will definitely return for a meal in the restaurant sometime this year.

A really nice place to enjoy a drink, some food and a rest. We spent the most time in Bakewell here on our recent trip. The bar staff were all excellent, the beers were all well kept and the decor and atmosphere were exactly what we were looking for.

Food was excellent, as were the young waitresses serving us who were attentive and friendly. Given 3 stars as I would suggest some of the 'management' need training. We arrived looking for something to eat and were told no walk ins available....no offer of a time was made. My wife and I however had seen the wonderful food on offer and not accepting defeat likely, managed to book online for 45 minutes later! We returned and you could actually see the look of distaste on the young man's face....we were reluctantly (I would suggest by his demeanor) seated and we proceeded to have a lovely meal. Word of advice, if you can't at least pretend to like the hospitality trade then you shouldn't be in it.....not everyone would take so kindly to your attitude!

My family went to Bakewell for a day out having previously booked lunch in the Rutland Arms hotel. It was to celebrate my grandsons 6th birthday. We had a lovely meal which didn't disappoint. The staff were very helpful and friendly. My daughter booked to return later in the year.Update. 1st January 2022.Returned for New year's Eve afternoon. 6 of us again had a really good time. The service was good and the food excellent.3 of us had the soup of the day (parsnip) which was the best we eaten for some time.We will be be back for sure.Laura who looked after us was very proficient.

What a fantastic bar and restaurant. I've driven past a million times and never stopped to sample its charms. I will be sure to do so again in the future. Fab food, amazing environment and lovely staff.

Ate here tonight after having a couple of drinks for my wife's birthday earlier in the day, have not been here for about six or seven years.I would like to say that the service we received on both visits was exemplary, above and beyond service we have received anywhere in a long long time.I cannot recommend this place highly enough and we were allowed to take our dog Thea into the immaculate bar area That has lovely decor and really tasteful seasonal touches (December).I ordered the pan fried duck breast that was lovely and pink (the way I love it) and my wife had the Chicken, leek and ham pie which she said was perfect. For dessert I ordered a Chocolate concoction...truth being I cannot remember the name but it was very similar to a chocolate fondant, this again was perfect with lovely chocolate shards. If you are in Bakewell and want a lovely relaxed dining experience that takes you back in time to the days when service mattered.Thank you for making my wife's day and making my dining experience as an ex Banqueting manager a superb memory.
