The Spices in Derbyshire Dales

We had a lovely meal here on Saturday night. The food was amazing, the service was excellent, the portions were generous and the price was very reasonable. We will definitely be returning.

Vollected food from this restaurant and that was the biggest regret of the day.If you're searching for an Indian food, then definitely this is not the restaurant.Naan were not so good. Food was all sweet and nothing much. Both the curries had the same taste.I'll definitely not try this again.

Shocking, really gone down hill. Order chicken tikka briyani, and keema naan . Collected, got home to find out the keema naan was a peswari. Rang up and they dropped keema naan , but chef wanted evidence as didn't believe I had wrong one. Keema naan tasted like rat? Binned it straight away. chicken biryani had 3 small bits of chicken and wasn't tikka. Seems like this restaurant are trying to cut corners. Worst meal I've had this year , even worse in month of Ramadan.

We had a lovely takeaway from there Monday 24th Jan , was extremely impressed will definitely be using this place again .

The food is delicious, the take is the same on quality. On occasion there has been something missing or not correct but still a nice place to get food from and friendly staff.

New decor, some of which is stunning, but there's a glass wall full of running water, really wasted on me! little natural light...And the food wasn't great tbh... And its an unlicensed premise, which we hadn't realised, so had soft drinks, which were ridiculously expensive...

What a great little restaurant, serving authentic tasty dishes. Very friendly and professional knowledgeable staff, who provided brilliant service. Looking forward to going again on our next visit to Matlock.The Spice do not serve alcohol but you can take your own or purchase drinks from the bar next door.

Me and my fiancée had a really nice evening tonight at the spice restaurant on dale road MatlockMade to feel really welcome, had a lovely romantic evening with exceptional customer service and amazing food.Was really nice restaurant and good portions very good value for moneyAnd we will definitely be visiting again in the future. We are not local but will definitely recommend a visit to any one visiting Matlock.Thank you again for a lovely evening.Also bringing in your own alcohol is great, soft drinks and hot drinks are available.Full 5 stars and worth every penny for a great night out.See you again soon.

Ordered at around 5.30, food came on time but with a main dish, chips and a cheese nann missing.Called and they were going to bring the nann and chips up. Half an hour later they show up with the wrong nann bread and no chips.Called again... They're sending the food up again.Its been an hour and still absolutely nothing.Beyond rediculous and an embarrassment to the restaurant.
