What a spiffing spot. We ventured here on a Tuesday lunch time, quiet but not empty. Lovely veiw of the river and the ducks sitting in the garden. Service was excellent, cheerful and friendly. Food was equally as good, fish and chips for me and chicken ceaser salad for my husband. Only disappointment was not much choice in the zero alcohol beers menu but otherwise couldn't fault it. Great job thanks.

Located very close to the parking places, which despite it being a cold Monday in March were quite full…food was good overall. Mushy peas with the fish and chips made in the traditional way with mint and tarragon which most people today don’t bother with. Chips were very good and overall service was great. The waffle sundae was probably the best version I’ve ever had. Fish cakes starter was very good.

Tasty Food. I don't really like gooey eggs and the salmon fishcake had such an egg on top. Swapped with my husband's for his crab and prawn stack. Both starters were tasty. Mains were tasty too. We had grilled seabass and jerk chicken. The jerk chicken wasn't really the Jamaican jerk chicken, more a chicken fillet with BBQ type sauce on top. Regardless, still tasted good. Service was efficient and welcoming. Restaurant and toilet looked clean and hygienic.

Great food, excellent gluten free and vegetarian options, and friendly service. Also very accommodating for our two dogs who were able to sit inside with us. We will definitely be back!

five of us arrived 12:45pm on thursday. plenty of seats probable due to bad weather a day before (flood warning) or cash only (the card reader machine was not working). the staffs were friendly. all the meals we ordered were tasty especially duo lamb dish was delicious.

Lovely restaurant. The food was amazing and the portions are large. Relatively expensive but definetly worth the money. The service is quick and the staff are really kind and welcoming. The restaurant is beautiful inside and has a lovely atmosphere. Can be quite busy so I would recommend booking ahead to ensure you get a table. Also if coming by car you will need to park in the public car park which is pay and display. I had a lovely evening here and would definetly recommend going to this restaurant.

This place was a nice surprise for us in Bakewell. The food was delicious and the service was amazing! Our waiter, Alex, was really nice, helpful and welcoming as well as being a good laugh. Thanks for the great time!

Went for lunch today with our dog. Very friendly and understanding staff (dog was a little vocal). Good disabled access and facilities. Food was nice we had the scampi and chips, plus the bacon and brie sandwich. Both were fresh and tasty at a fair price. For pudding we had Bakewell Pudding for the first time. Came with Bakewell Tart icecream. Very nice. Lunch for two came to roughly £30 which feels like good value to me.I would definitely eat here again.

Stunning place. Booked our wedding reception here. The staff are amazing. You can sit inside with a meal, and enjoy a beautiful restaurant, on top of a underground stream, or sot on the terrace overlooking the river.Nothing better.Food is well priced and so delicious, it's honestly amazing. My daughter Sylvia ate it, and she is picky at the best of times.
