Tuckers Fish 'N' Chips in Derbyshire Dales

Had cod, chips and curry sauce and was quite honestly the best fish and chips I've had for a long time. It was a perfect end to a lovely day out here.

Visited today, wow best chippie I have visited in years.We had x 2 sausage and chips sat inside on a dark grey day.Chips were beautiful fluffy and non greasy. Sausage was very good however the curry sauce was to die for. Spicy and thick plus had a feel of a homemade sauce ?The chap behind the counter asked if we were eating in? I expected takeaway trays however our meals were served on plates with cutlery at no extra cost.In my experience chippies who have tables charge you for sitting down so this was a nice surprise.Will definitely visit again !

Lovely fish and chips- good size portions and very hot & fresh. Ice cream very reasonably priced, staff helpful- Dog friendly too!

Fantastic food piping hot lovely staff had fish bites covered in batter lovely. Some of the family had the fish said it was lovely and big.chips nice and fresh and peas tasted like mushy pies will go back when in the area

This is the second time I've eaten at Tuckers. The first time was warmer weather so me and my family ate outside. The second time was cooler (autumn) and we ate inside. I ordered chicken nuggets separately for my little dog and she was brought her own little bowl of nuggets. I stripped the batter from the nuggets and Lily enjoyed them, as did my daughter. The meat inside the nuggets were the leanest and whitest meat I've seen. The service was outstanding and the assistant asked if Lily (dog) wanted a bowl of water. Thank you for the warm and welcome service and being accommodating to Lily - she enjoyed the nuggets. We will be visiting you each time we visit Matlock.

My wife is celiac and this is the best place for gluten-free fish and chips. Always fresh and hot. All the condiments are gluten-free as well. We wouldn’t go anywhere else. The staff are lovely and friendly always with a smile on there faces. Nothing is to much trouble for them. I would definitely recommend anyone to come in and try you won’t be disappointed

This place is up there with of the best fish and chips I've had. The fish was so tasty and fresh and the batter was nice and crispy. If I'm ever back in Matlock Bath this will be my first stop 😃😋

Wonderful chippy👌, very good gluten free fish & chips, Mrs Mirk mentioned the best gluten-free fish and chips she'd ever had. Lovely friendly service, business is in partnership with ice cream parlour next door. Superb coffee and dog friendly. Enjoy. M

Really friendly service, they asked us if everything was ok and treated us well. The fish and chips are fried separately to any meat product so it's great for halal friendly diets. Our portions were generous and out food was cooked perfectly. It's clean and has lots of seating for groups. Had a great time!

Delicious gluten-free fish and chips. Really crispy batter and proper chips. The owner was very friendly and the staff knew what they were doing. It shows.
