Staff really rude and not that helpful. No please or Thankyou. The waitress was rude and had a face like a smacked arse. More concerned about her makeup and making herself look pretty. She chucked the receipt on the table. Manners don’t cost anything. But the other waitress who collected our plates was really nice. Only select foods on menu. Not full menu. As a fussy eater I had something new. Food was warm when came out but didn’t send back as had been waiting for ages. The place was not clean. There was dust and cobwebs. Not good to see. Would not recommend. WILL NOT BE VISITING AGAIN. 😡🤬

We visited at lunch time, when it was fairly quiet. The waitress was lovely & took our food / drinks order. The food then took an hour to be come, not ideal with two hungry children. When my wifes meal was put in front of her, she immediately questioned what they were giving her. She had ordered Pan fried chicken breast, but had been given ham, egg and chips. The waiter offered to correct this, but there would be a wait for the food to be cooked. As we had already waited an hour, and had no idea how much longer she would have to wait for a fresh meal, my wife ended up going without any food. Also, both children ordered pizza with chips and beans. Neither meal came with any beans. When I brought this up with the waitress, she offered to get the beans, but I told her that it wasn't worth it by this point. The most disappointing part was when I came to pay. The owner / manager served me on the till. There wasn't a single word said, no please, thank you, 'Sorry that our service fell below the standard it should have been', absolutely nothing. The only reason I've given two stars, not one, is because my food was very nice.Needless to say, we won't be going back again.

Food was excellent but we had a table booked for 8pm and didn't sit down until 8.45pm. Not served until nearly 9.30pm. We were a large party, but if they couldn't cater for us properly then they shouldn't have taken the booking. We did have a drink while waiting, but that part of the restaurant/bar was exceptionally noisy, so much so that we couldn't talk to one another as we couldn't hear each other. I would go back but not on a Saturday night.

One of the best steak houses in Lincolnshire. Lava rock steaks are both tasty and fun. However not for young children as they are lava hot. Service attentive but not overbearing.

Called in with a view to having a meal, have been before and always enjoyed the food, but on this occasion we were hit by the stench of rancid cooking fat as we got to the door. Reluctantly we went in and had a look at the menu: the sight of ostrich, kangaroo ... and ZEBRA on the menu was enough - we turned around and walked back out. What's next for goodness sake ? - dog? cat? This is Lincolnshire, not China - since when do we need the shock factor or novelty factor instead of good, honest, locally produced food. Wont bother going back again.

My partner and kids like it here but it's not for me , Cooking my own steak doesn't appeal to me but the kids (13&14 )enjoyed it . My 9 year old had a burger from the kids menu and it was good the chips where good too .I ordered the lamb rump and it was OK .

Came here for a friend's birthday and it's incredible! We all ordered steak from various animals and the quality of the cuts was amazing. We all were given our meat on hot volcanic stones and were able to cook it to our own liking. There is a list of sides as long as your arm and along with the fast & friendly service with excellent drink selection we'll definitely be going back!!

Good value meal in an attractively furnished pub. The service and food quality were also excellent... a real gem

My friend and I called at around 1.30pm without booking. They were not busy so they happily accommodated us. I was a little surprised to that the menu didn't have any light bites, it was all large meals burgers etc. We ended up having soup which was actually on the starter menu. The soup was lovely, service was good.

Lovely place, friendly staff and great food. Its a fun touch, cooking the steak at the table, can cook it exactly how you want it. And on top of this, reasonably priced for the quality. Will definitely come back when I’m in the area.
