We visited The King's Head Inn last night, as a party of 6, for a meal and drinks. The food was beautifully presented, freshly cooked with accompanying side dishes where appropriate. A short rest after the main course and the puddings and more drinks. We were then treated to a grand tour of the building, met both cats, but not the ghosts. An excellent evening was had by all.Thank you to Jackie and Dave for a fabulous meal and an evening filled with good humoured banter.

My friend booked a meal for 6 if us on 19th June. The food was absolutely delicious. The chocolate pudding was so light. Jackie and Dave great host. Jackie was so lovely to show us around the place. Very atmospheric. Had a fabulous night

We called here for our evening meal whilst staying at a nearby tourer park. The inn is a lovely thatched cottage with a quaint rustic interior and open fire. We had booked in advance and the hosts, Dave and Jackie, had put a big cushion by our table for our 2 puppies. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the tastiest chicken and ham pie with a crisp flaky pastry topping and fresh vegetables. The sticky toffee and rum pudding was delicious, as was the chocolate pudding that my husband chose. Jackie came out from the kitchen to see our 2 pups and was very friendly and said if we wanted to stay there in future she would make room for our caravan. Dave and Jackie are very friendly and we will definitely be visiting again.

We were staying at Haven Golden Sands for the weekend and wanted to head out for a nice pub lunch at a place which accepted dogs. We were welcomed by the really friendly owners and there was even a dog bed for our dog. The menu was varied with nice specials and the food was home cooked and super tasty. We would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal out and we will definitely be back when returning to the area. Thank you

Great hosts, Jackie and Dave are amazing, great guests too. They will make you feel welcome and part of the family. Once tried, you'll keep coming back!

Although they had only just opened due to COVID the welcome was warm, they were only able to supply sandwiches and fries. The portion size was huge the ham was thick cut the fries crispy and really nice. My wife chose Tuna mayo they arrived as a triple decker there must have been a whole can of Tuna in the huge sandwich. Such a lovely place really hope it reopens properly

A lovely thatched roof pub. We had a drink sat outside at lunchtime as it was very mild. We always visit while here on holiday.

Literally only giving this a 4 star instead of a 5 as we didn't have a meal hereGreat little pub stop over in our motorhome called very late into the evening and they stayed open just for us. We were welcomed with a freshly lit fire and cold beers and wineBrill hosting will deffo be back to try the food

Lovely thatched roof pub within easy reach of the great beach (couple of miles). Very cosy bar with open wood fire. It's worth a visit to see the actual bar itself made from reclaimed timber from old solid drawers and cupboards... a work of art. Hosts very friendly, and the menu while small had a good selection of tasty sounding dishes. I'd much rather have a limited choice of well cooked food, than masses of mediocre servings. My 'Grimsby Haddock with Chips and Mushy Peas' was well cooked, and very filling. My only criticism is that the homemade batter could have been a touch more crisp. My wife chose one of the two specials 'Whole Sea Bass', and it looked spectacular. It was simply cooked with lemon (all that was necessary), served with new potatoes, and fresh vegetables. Well worth another visit soon in our campervan to try one of the other specials!
