Lovely atmosphere, busy busy! Very tasty food and friendly, attentive service. Only came upon the restaurant by chance. Chap took my number as they were packed and had no space. He rang an hour later with a table for two. Highly recommend booking a table.

I was a Morrocan virgin popping my Morrocan cherry in Louth, of all places. The problem I'm going to have is beating the experience I had at Marrakesh Restaurant. The venue is tucked away from the high street and on walking in we were greeted by really friendly staff and showed to our seats. The menu is fairly simple, which is great because you won't take a million years to decide what you want. The food is excellent. Really good, really tasty - we had seafood tagine, royal mix(?) And they were bloody lovely.Just go, you wont be disappointed.

While the food we ate was good it wasn't the authentic Moroccan experience we had hoped for. I had a prawn dish as a starter which tasted really good. I ordered a seafood tagine for my main course and asked if the traditional flatbread was stone baked. I was assured it was and it was delicious. Well, the tagine arrived but served just in the base of the tagine, the conical top was not brought to the table. For me, that is part of the theatre of a tagine, the steam and smell of the food hitting your senses as the top is removed. I doubted my food had been cooked in a traditional tagine and certainly not the one it was served in. The sauce had the same flavour as the prawn starter which leads me to believe the sauce is produced in bulk ahead then the seafood just cooked off in it prior to service. The bread was not stone baked either. While there was nothing wrong with the food we ate I found the overall experience a bit of a let down.

Service from the young gent working Thursday 18th was brilliant. Couldn't fault the food, had a brilliant enjoyable evening. Beautiful setting as well takes me back to my time in the middle east

Delicious food in amazingly decorated restaurant. The tagene is theatre, a bubbling delight.

First time at this restaurant and we were not disappointed. Both of the dishes we had were awesome, and decor is wonderful. My only criticism is, we were the first in the restaurant when it opened, we ordered our food within 10 minutes and then waited 50 minutes before it was served, glad we were first ones in, one star deducted for this reason.
